the other instances are being pushed as part of a racial agenda. White people don't push such agendas

1) People don't only protest when urged to be leaders. In fact, it is the so-called leaders that come in and bring stability and organization to the protesting.
2) It would be news if people in the area protested. Truth be told, it has happened more often, historically and in present day America, where minorities have been unfairly targeted by the police and sometimes treated unfairly by the police. So when you look at Ferguson, and you find that the whole police department had to be re-organized and that even the city judges were in on the push to arrest more people for the sake of generating money, just know that stuff like that has been happening for a long time, with minorities bearing the brunt of those practices.
So we protest.
3) It seems that whites don't protest because the history of being routinely abused by the police isn't there. However, now we are seeing an uptick in trigger happy police officers and bullying police officers and their actions are being caught on tape. Nobody wins when the police abuse their authority, but let's not act like the police abusing and shooting of non-minorities is an on-going problem for years and white people are just too passive to say anything. Let's not act like the only reason black people protest when abuse happens is because CNN or Sharpton tells us to protest.
4) We protest because we're tired of the same old same old. Whites don't protest because they haven't seen the pattern, affecting their families and lives, with their own eyes.
