Six Million MORE In Poverty Under BO

How can one say that this president has done a great job on the economy when there are six million more people in poverty than when he took office? A record number of people are not participating in the labor force---93 million people. Median incomes have dropped under BO. There are more people on food stamps than any other time for the last 30 years.

DB,
You act as if BHO was given a good economy to ruin.

He wasn't.

When he took our office, our country was convulsing economically. He really isn't responsible for what led to the near depression our country endured.

Neither is he responsible for the jobs that disappeared and will NEVER come back.

The economy is doing very well now and I agree it could be better.

There are lots of jobs available, but many people do not or feel that they cannot go back to school to become competitive in our current workforce.

Things change, the country moves on, the world keeps turning, and some people are inevitably left behind. It really is unfortunate.

So they female dog about the economy, blame America, blame Obama, blame the white man, blame the liberals, blame Boehner, blame the Jews, blame the Muslims, blame affirmative action policies, waddle in resentment and become the country's bitterest victim.

Without ever thinking about HOW our country arrived to the place where we are, they are focused on the present and prophesy gloom for the foreseeable future.

And they will have gloom.

And of course, it's ALL BHO's fault.

There you go again, trying to be subtle with your words. Do you curse in person? Why try to disguise your cursing?

The rest of your post is malarky! I bet you still blame Bush, don't you?

This is fully and 100% obama's busted economy now. You can't blame Bush for anything now.

The economy is not busted and there are may jobs that disappeared that will never come back. Times have changed. Companies have changed. Technologies have changed. What part of that is BHO's fault?

I don't blame GWB for six million people not having a job today.

However, how did we get to this point? What were the decisions that brought us to this place? Are ANY of the corporations culpable in this? The corporations that purposefully relocate their operations overseas to avoid paying taxes and to avoid paying Americans decent wages with benefits? What we have today is the confluence of MANY factors, not a President who was elected 6 or 7 years ago.

So maybe you'd want to blame the President for encouraging policies that reduces man-made pollution. Or maybe, you want to criticize the policies that values clean air to breathe. Maybe you want to blame the President for coming up with a plan that takes the burden of healthcare off of the local hospitals that were closing all over the country because they could no longer afford to foot the bill of their patient's healthcare. Maybe you want to blame the President for intruding on our privacy in the name of national security (which by the way wasn't started by him but was continued by him so maybe, maybe he is to blame for the government spying on you). Yeah, President Obama has done so much wrong and nothing right.

I am hungry right now and it is all BHO's fault.

You know what, I could have made my point without the reference to vulgarity. It's not a good thing to do and it was completely unnecessary.

Thank you for calling me out on it.

I apologize.

Please pray for me.

Bush gets blamed for the recession. Why shouldn't Obama get blamed for the current poor economic state of affairs?

GWB was President for 7 years prior to the recession, that really was the closest we've come to Depression status since the Great Depression.

There are some who say that his advisors should never have let Lehman Brothers fail.

http://mobile.nytimes.com/2014/09/30....html?referer=

As a country, we are still dealing with the effects of that whole situation-- not just the one decision to let Lehman Brothers fail, but all that was done or not done before that one, economically fatal decision.

It was a very big decision.

People are quoted in the article stating clearly that it was a policy-driven, political decision.

Ultimately, it was the wrong decision.

So funny how after 6 years of president Obama he still gets a pass and Bush gets blamed for the state of the economy. Bush wasn't in office a YEAR in 2001 when a recession hit and he was blamed for it, not Clinton although economists later traced the beginnings of that recession to the last year of Clinton's presidency.

The lack of honesty about President Obama and his abysmal leadership is telling.

But the facts are the facts---this so-called economic recovery is really a huge failure.
