you are looking for, but surely mostly fearing some military war, that i find to be mostly irrelevant if we are already effectively destroyed by some other means. i think it is much more effective as a fear to hold over us. You might just be right tho, since "as above, so below," but my conviction is that the ptb would have trouble finding recruits for this kind of war now; mankind seems to have evolved past this spiritually, for the most part. Dunno.

We're always on the edge of WWIII starting.

Ironically, the guy who claimed he would improve foreign relations has made it worse than even under W. Libya, Iraq, Syria and now Yemen are all dumpster fires. If the current reports are to be believed, the administration is going to sign a Sole Executive Agreement with Iran which gives them [Iran] everything they wanted while getting no concessions. This, along with the administrations unusual declassification of Israel's nuclear capability, may cause Bibi to act unilaterally and bomb Iran's facilities.

Unfortunately, the real issue is the mess obama will be leaving to the next President. Most Republicans are hawks and warmongers. Just read Lindsay Graham is thinking about running for President. He and his bff, McCain, are two of the biggest warmongers in Congress. If the next President has to deal with this mess, and that President is a Republican (and not Sen. Rand Paul), chances are that the US will send troops to the region again.

that all strikes me as smoke and mirrors. Iran can have all the nukes it wants, as far as I'm concerned--they could not use them. All a distracting tool, imo. if wars are fought for money and resources, why fight a world war if we are already being daily plundered without it? Bringing Russia back into thrall to the banksters would be the only reason i can see.

That's a drop in the bucket to 1) what used to be there, and 2) what will need to be on the ground for any major offensive against any ONE of those countries....and there are more than one. Libya. Syria. Iraq. Yemen.

And remember, there were rumors W was thinking of attacking Iran. Should Israel attack Iran and Iran retaliate, the US would be forced to defend its ally.

hmm, funny that all of those places are on fire as we speak. i seriously doubt any "resolution" is being sought, and suspect that the goal has already been reached in all of them--turmoil.

I think there is a possibility that Yemen could be the flashpoint. I didn't know until today that Saudi Arabia and Pakistan were such close allies.

Yemen's destabilization could lead to a regional conflict which can lead to WWIII.
