Environmental Projection

Does anyone here have experience with environmental projection?

What is environmental projection, you may ask? It's using one or more video projectors to project still pictures or motion against the entire stage wall. It can be an incredible tool, when used properly. Take the pic below as an example.



Not sure what the lesson is about, but obviously it has something to do with camping. Look at the difference between the non-EP and the EP stage. It adds so much more to the background.






This one is using just one projector.


***Does someone know how to resize photos in bbcode? I've looked it up and tried adding the code, but it's not working.

How it began

We're thinking of using it for our student chapel. The stage size may be just a little bigger than the last picture. It's not a large area, so we won't have to use more than 2 projectors. The first article says it costs about $10,000, with the bulk going towards projectors. That's because those sanctuary's are massive and require several commercial grade projectors.

Our costs will be far, far less than that. Less than $1,000. Big plus is it saves on having to paint or remodel the stage. It also makes a huge difference with drama's and skits.
