Pastors forced to perform same-sex marriages
http://onenewsnow.com/perspectives/m...m-gay-weddings
"Churches in Denmark are now compelled, by law, to host same-sex "weddings." "
Coming soon to a church near you.
"Tolerance" the new intolerance...

Re: Pastors forced to perform same-sex marriages
Yep, this will be done via an "executive order," using tax-exempt 501 c3 status and "hate crime" as reasons.
Democrats have already been talking for over the past month about submitting legislation to repeal the First Amendment.

Re: Pastors forced to perform same-sex marriages
you ever heard of underground churches?
That is all you need to do. Drop the 501-c3 and you can go exempt from the rules that they set up.
More and more we see that this might be a necessity.

When I suggested this while discussing house churches I was looked at like a crazy man. I'm glad some people are starting to see it.

Re: Pastors forced to perform same-sex marriages
I was just going to say that the 501-c is really going to hurt most churches very, very soon, and cause them to make difficult decisions, that will hurt their pocketbook. Either they will have to stop getting a free ride from the government, or begin dancing to the tune of the government's fiddle. (But nDavid beat me to it, lol!)
With the president that we have who seems absolutely intent on destroying everything good that this country stands for, it does seem quite possible that the atrocities suffered by fellow Christians in other countries, may soon come to roost here in our beloved USA.

That's true. It's coming. Churches were not meant to be these mega, behemoth style money makers, they have become. Why be tax exempt?
My church has avoided the govt issues by not having preachers per say, but instead members of the congregation get up and give talks about what they learned, things to edify uplift and comfort.

Here's a network of house church Apostolics. I'm not very familiar with them yet. But I do see a model like this in the future, if churches want to continue to preach the truth:
http://eojc.org/
Here are two excerpts from their constitution:
2.Heads of households, elders, preachers, teachers, or leaders of any other title are to be unpaid. However, unsolicited freewill offerings (particularly for itinerant ministers) are acceptable. The Bible does teach it is good and acceptable to give to those who minister the word (1 Cor. 9:7-14, 1 Pet. 4:8-11) but that doesn’t mean it also gives those same ministers the authority to set their wages and thus become hirelings (John 10:12-13) or extortionists (1 Cor 5:11). Thus we interpret “To live of the gospel” (1 Cor. 9:14) to mean having faith in God for His providence, not faith in a salaried position. Those who feel led of the Lord to give (2 Cor. 9:7), are further admonished to “know those who labor among you” (1 Thess 5:12).
5.The Ekklesia of Jesus Christ reserves the right to function as a religious network of Christian believers without government intervention and regulation. Since we receive our authority from God and not from man, we will not seek to be recognized by any federal government as an officially incorporated institution.
Nice.
