House Select Committee on Benghazi

Rep. Trey Gowdy to head the investigation! That's the best choice Boehner could've made. It's about time the House got serious about what happened in Benghazi. The recent email directly linking the WH to the coverup is reason why it's good to keep investigating Benghazi, the IRS and Fast and Furious.

IRS and Fast and Furious are what I really care about. 13 Benghazi's happened under Bush. Not to mention that false intelligence was used to go to war with Iraq. Will you be disappointed when nothing comes from this?

Hopefully the GOP makes the mistake of using Benghazi as a platform for 2014 and 2016. If they do, it will be an easy win for the DEMs. Of course the GOP will still blame the minorities and uneducated for voting DEM and not their horrible strategy.

Interesting comments, caught on tape, by Rhodes the day after the fact, wouldn't you say? How is he going to walk that back?

Jay Carney, et al, Good luck with your deflection.

CBS' David Rhodes on 9/12: Benghazi 'Not Just a Spontaneous Mob Reaction' to a Film

At this point, Rhodes interjected a parenthetical note about the "pretty alarming" situation saying, "Our government thinks that, you know, there's a really good chance this was not just a spontaneous mob reaction to what some thought was an offensive film but actually a coordinated effort timed to the 9/11 anniversary."

This is so completely false, I don't know where to begin.

Please post the evidence for your claim. That, or acknowledge what you claim is untrue.

Not one US Ambassador died under Bush. Nor were there any attacks on our embassies like this one while W was in the WH.

No one denies these events didn't occur. David stated, "Nor were there any attacks on our embassies like this one while W was in the WH."

The point is that the Bush White House DID NOT put out a false narrative about any of these events. Big difference.

Your right. Instead they put out a false narrative on WMD in Iraq. Early intelligence and witnesses on the ground said the attackers where talking about the video. Early narrative on the attacks blamed the video. The facts have changed. Just like Iraq went from WMDs to operation Iraqi freedom. 4k plus deaths in Iraq is the greater of evils. Sorry to burst your fox news bubble. Nobody who thinks this is a 'scandal' was ever going to be anywhere near a swing voter anyways, so it's politically irrelevant. If anything, the GOP is being harmed by wasting so much ammunition and mindspace on this.

Did you read the link I posted about the attack myths?

This is a good expose on Benghzi. http://www.nytimes.com/projects/2013...azi/#/?chapt=0

Since this new email came out, I would have to see what Trey Gowdy will turn up. He has stated, and he has been a very successful Prosecutor, “I have evidence that not only are they hiding it, there’s an intent to hide it. I can’t disclose that evidence yet, but I have evidence there was a systematic, intentional decision to withhold certain documents from Congress.”

As to the WMD, it was a confusing issue. I saw a scientist from Iraq interviewed, during the time that Colin Powell was going over the aerial videos, saying that he knew that trucks took the WMD to Syria, but you NEVER heard from him again after that day. That is very suspicious. I wish I would have written down his name to see where he disappeared to.

What do you think of the facts presented here? How many times are they going to investigate this? The horse that they are beating is dead and decaying. There is nothing to see here. Hey never let a tragedy go without using it for political gain. Like I said, its going to back fire on the GOP and they will once again be asking themselves why they didnt win in 2014 and 2016.

Read my post again.

Not one US Ambassador died.
Not one was covered up and blamed on a viral video.
John Bolton was never given tips on how to frame the attacks.
The CIA and State dept didn't try changing what happened.
And when these did happen, they were called what they were....a terrorist attack.

Nice source, BTW. HuffPo is definitely unbiased in its reporting. /sarcasm
