I Hope We Attack Syria Soon!

The line has been crossed.

America needs to respond with military force.

President Obama hates war, but he has to see that it is a necessary evil.

There is so much at stake-- we must respond with military force and our response needs to be STRONG and soon.

I hope we don't. This is a Syrian issue. Don't mean to sound crass or mean, but we can't afford to get involved in ANOTHER war. We're not the world's police, nor its savior.

I agree with Jermyn. We need to act. Very doubtful it would be a "war" in the sense of Iraq or Afghanastan. But a cruise missle attack is not out of the question.

My concern is if Syria will start lobing missiles into Israel in an attempt to draw them into a war. This would complicate matters greatly.

Been there, done that, got the t-shirt.

(and he is a guinea pig, not a chipmunk )

While I believe there are elements of Al Qaeda in the ranks of the rebels I don't believe they are in the majority. They are filling a void because no one else will. That is their calling card, support people who have been ignored by the international community to garner support and fill the void.

While understanding that, I highly doubt Assad is any friend to Christians in the region. He supports terrorist who constantly send missles and bombs into Israel. So I'm not sure there will be a real winner in this conflict. But to sit back and allow a government/military to systematically kill hundreds of citizens with chemical warfare should be unacceptable to any country.

As I have already stated, precision strikes is all we can possibly do. There is no way we would or should put boots on the ground in Syria.

So you would support the rebels that are slaughtering people by cutting off their heads but not the regime that slaughters people by using chemicals.

Sooo... How do you feel about capital punishment?
Should we hang em or should we use chemicals?

BTW The rebels are militant Islamist's of one form or another.

Which is a good point.

One news article you linked simply has two or three lines of information that they themselves don't seem to know the whole story. The other news article is better detailed, yet it only has the word "Rebels" in the headline, and then it states. "Al Qaeda linked Rebels". throughout the article it identifies the suspects as jihadist and even links to an offshoot of Al Qaeda. As I said, I don't believe these men represent the main rebel movement, but they have filled a void of support needed by the rebels.

As I have also said, there will be no clear winner here. To take out some jihadist that are killing a dozen or more Christians is much more complicated than rendering a military incapable of continuing to kill hundreds. JMO.

Not really sure about your comment concerning capital punishment.

Scotty you know that you don't have to join the United States' military in order to fight over in Syria. All you need is a plane ticket.

Also should we continue to print more money in order to fight yet another war?

May I make a suggestion?

We need a little more prayer and conversions to the Apostolic faith, and a little less killing in the name of freedom with democracy for all.

Our country is starting to look more like an Empire than a Republic.

As I have said, been there, done that. Too old now. And once again, I have said that we do not need boots on the ground in Syria.

Easy now, your gonna stir up the crowd here that believes the Apostolic faith does not hold the blueprint for peace and salvation. But I would agree.
