PO's Arpaio Guilty of Profiling!!!

"A federal judge has ruled that the immigration enforcement policies of the man who calls himself "America's toughest sheriff" violated the Constitution by using racial profiling." was he targeted for investigating Obama? Another Obama conspiracy?

It's not too hard to shop around for an activist judge to make such rulings. Let's see. By this judge's definition of profiling, it would be impossible to secure our border and enforce our immigration laws. Of course, that is the point. But Joe will find a way around it.

Very true and Arpaio is appealing. We should look into the background of the judge.

This is exactly why we can't get anything done in this country. Arpaio is right in what he says here - "We go after illegals." That's what we should be doing. If you live in a border state and illegals are coming in - 57 percent arrested were illegals - we should be able to do our job.

“Ours is an operation, whether it’s the state law or the federal, to go after illegals, not the crime first, that they happen to be illegals,” the ruling quoted Arpaio as saying. “My program, my philosophy is a pure program. You go after illegals. I’m not afraid to say that. And you go after them and you lock them up.”

Political correctness is harming our country. I don't doubt that some of the police officers were snarky at times. And I won't elaborate much on how difficult these people are to work with. I haven't had very positive experiences in my lifetime, and can see the problems the judge wouldn't bring out in court. There, I said it.

Good grief! This can only be laughable, it is such a ridiculous remark from the judge. HELLO! They are Mexicans living in a border state, of course they are suspect when you are working on illegal immigration and securing our border!

PO, the problem is, there are many LEGAL mexicans that get stopped and searched in the process of going after illegals. mexican citizens have constitutional rights just like any other american.

I think he was doing a great job bringing in 57% who were illegals. The Mexican citizens should be glad Arpaio is taking care of their safety. The only ones offended are the ones that are probably supporting of illegals being here.

And isn't it interesting that Arpaio is getting ready to testify before the Alabama Supreme Court on O's birth certificate? They hate him or investigating this. And I say, if he feels he has a case, what's the problem? We don't have to believe or not believe it, just let the process work itself out. Bring your evidence and lay it out. Everyone has a right to take their case as high up as the US Supreme Court if they want to.

The Left also hates him because he is the largest proponent against Amnesty.
What he is doing works against their plans. This lawsuit works great for them. And with political correctness, he does have an uphill battle in the appeal.

PO, you are being disingenuous. if white americans were getting stopped and searched looking for chechen muslims, there would be an uproar. "I'm an american. I have rights. Go after the criminals." no american is willing to be harassed by authorities in order for safety. isn't giving up privacy in the name of security a republican mantra? applying a different standard to mexican american citizens is prejudicial on your part, unless you tell me that you and all the rest of libertarians, republicans and white america is willing to go through the same harassment.

Re: PO's Arpaio Guilty of Profiling!!!

I'm probably going to surprise y'all.

I'm from AZ; I live in the Phx East Valley, which is in Maricopa County.

When I first moved here, I felt proud to cast my vote for Arpaio; however, I did not vote for Arpaio in his last two elections. I voted for the Democrat running against him.

I still love what Arpaio did with the jails. Tent city is awesome. I'm glad he makes the prisoners work, instead of letting them sit around lifting weights all day.

And I like that, as Sheriff of a border state, Arpaio is tough on immigration. Look, we just had a Phoenix police officer killed in a hit and run recently; by an illegal immigrant recently released by ICE, even though he had priors and was already deported once before. Sen. McCain has sent a letter to DHS head, Nappy, asking why ICE released this guy.

This ruling is no surprise. We all knew that eventually a judge would be found to rule against Arpaio. You keep suing long enough, sooner or later you'll find a sympathetic judge to rule against him.

I've seen Arpaio's sting operation. He goes where the illegals are. That's a no-brainer. He doesn't pull everyone over though. He simply pulls over people for legit moving violations, then checks their status. I'm ok with that.

Here's the problem for me: Arpaio is more a celebrity Sheriff than real Sheriff. He's going around, chasing after Obama and appearing with Steven Seagal on his tv show. He's become a sideshow.

Not only this, but in one way Arpaio and Obama are incredibly similar. They cannot stand to be questioned. They hate opposition, and try to do whatever they can to crush it.

Obama has a scandal now with journalists; Arpaio had his, too. The Phoenix New Times did a big expose on Arpaio, which included his telephone number. I believe his address was included, not positive on that. Arpaio sent his special unit after the owner and editor of PNT. Using black SUVs with Sonoran license plates, flack jackets with no police or sheriff markings; this unit rolled up to their homes at midnight and cause a massive scene. These two men had no idea who was taking them, or where they were going. For all they knew, it could've been a cartel kidnapping them. They were kept overnight, then released without charges.

It was a chilling intimidation tactic. Using Andrew Thomas, the CA, Arpaio demanded the release of ip addresses, names, and contact info of anyone who visited the PNT website and read the expose.

Long story short, PNT successfully sued Arpaio and Thomas. Both were heavily crticized for the op.

I'm sorry to cut this short. I have to run to get my daughter to her 4th bday party.

I'm using my google tv to post, so I can't open multiple screens to post my source links. I do have them, and will post them later this afternoon/evening.

More later.
