Post by Cindy's SIL:

Linda Nash Gray
She had an episode about 1 week ago and dr put her in hosp for test. Thought she had an aneurysm but test were negative. She has had copd for long time and was on oxygen. She only stayed for @12 hrs and hosp sent her home. She went back on Sat evening; Mike thought she was dehydrated because she had quit eating and drinking. She was better Sunday and thought she would be soon released. Then early Monday she took turn for the worse. They put her in ICU and called family in. She passed away about 4:48 p.m. Drs said she could not exhale the carbon dioxide and her lungs were filling up with carbon dioxide. She will surely be missed!!

Linda, I hope you can read this. Cindy was an awesome individual and I don't really think we knew what we had. YES! She will be missed. She was a shinning light with all of the AFF family and now a light has gone out. And I must say, it seems rather dark around here today. Loved her, she was a great Christian example for us all. Her favorite term here on AFF was "Good Grief" and I want to simple say, in relationship to her leaving us...... "GOOD GRIEF!"

Is there anyone in Texas or anywhere else that can go?

Praxeas, I wish I could go. I am in Texas but I have an appointment on Friday and 3 appointments on Saturday that I can't get out of. I am going to order a large floral arrangement, with "Good Grief" on the ribbon, and if I don't get any negative responses from anyone on AFF, I'm going to make it from me and all of her friends on AFF. I guess if I get a negative response I can say.... "from all of your friends on AFF, except ________ and ________!

Sure miss her! Hope it's like I would like to think it is and that she's looking at her computer in Heaven and sees all of the great posts from her friends. RIP Cindy.

If you are able to go, or as far as that goes, anyone that is able to go, would you please make a picture of the floral arrangement from us, so I can post it on here. Thanks.

Re: Arrangements for Cindy Nash

To all of Cindy's friends on AFF, I will be contacting a florist in the Mineola, Tx area tomorrow and will be ordering a large floral arrangement, from all of her AFF family. I am going to have them put a ribbon on the arrangement with "Good Grief" on it, in memory of her favorite AFF response from the past.

If anyone from AFF is able to attend please make a picture of the arrangement so we can post it here on the forum. Renda, you might mention to any of the family, if you are in contact with them, that we would like a picture of the flowers from AFF.

If anyone has any thoughts or remarks about the flowers please let me know.

It is an honor to be able to do this for all of you and especially for Cindy. RIP Cindy.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
