Fruit of an UnJust War

This story makes me sad and angry all at once.

I am at work, but would love to discuss this Soldier's situation after work.

Anyone else disturbed by this?

Yes you may be sad or disturbed but are you disturbed enough to call for Bush & Cheney to be tried for WAR Crimes? They lied us into the Iraq war.

Really?

I suppose you mean about the WMD's?

Are you aware that Saddam Hussein used WMD's against the Kurds?
He could only do that IF he had them.

Also, there are reports coming from Syria about the use of WMD's potentially WMD's that came from Iraq.

I disagree with the war in Iraq not because of WMD's but the precedent now set for preemptive military strikes. That doctrine has now crossed over into preemptive strikes against citizens of this country without due process.

WMD's were just the tip of the iceberg lies for going to war with Iraq.
Over 4 thousand men & women dead and the thousand upon thousand maimed just because the SHRUB wanted to outdo his dad.

Sooo... He is a "war criminal" because he wanted to "outdo" his father?

No.
Yes, I wholeheartedly believe that Cheney lied to Bush and Bush led his team into a place of historical infamy for the 2nd Iraq War.

But no, I don't believe that GWB or Cheney are war criminals.

i do believe that Iraq had WMD's. We just will notknowit for about 70 years.
recently I watched a movie about Nazi germany and their failedattemted to test the a bomb in Decenber1944.We bombed their plant the next day. We were lead to believe that we invented The bomb first. Japan finished theirs the day we dropped ours on Hiroshima.

Sad story no doubt about it.

Must say I am not convinced that the soldier would not be wanting to die had his injuries occurred in Afghanistan instead of Iraq. His quality of life would still be horrible.

Re: Fruit of an UnJust War

It is sad that anyone suffers or dies in any war. But, until that which is Perfect has come, we will have wars, unjust or not. I believe removing Saddam Hussein was justified.
