HALLELUJAH! Our Church Bought A New Hammond Today!!

we've had the same B3 for 23 Years and let me tell you, that poor Organ was worn out! Tore up from the floor up!

Well, my repairman found an Old Lady that lived on a Farm that had one in her living room for Years but never played it. It's a hammond C3 Vintage 1960 Emaculate condition!! My Repairman sold it to me for $5000 that is a Steal!!! a vintage Hammond that's in pristine condition usually goes for 10,000 and up and a brand new one is 20,000 and up !!!
so this was a big Blessing! thanks be to God !

Congratulations Thad!!!

Isn't a C3 the same as a B3 mechanically but is more like a desk in that it doesn't have the back?

B-3 sits on 4 legs, C-3 has an enclosed cabinet.

The B-3 is the one that has to have a decorative "skirt" to protect the audience.

Not if the ladies playing it are wearing skirts long enough themselves.

Yes... same organ, also the M3 is the same. I bought a C3 with no leslie 8 years ago for $500 and last year I found a M3 with a Leslie for $500.. should have offered less. : ) Cost me $1500 for a used leslie for the C3.

I haven't read this whole thread, but it sounds like you found a Jewel!

The problem with finding an old C3 in mint condition is that you have to add a Leslie kit. I HATE the current Leslie Kits! Are you taking the kit off of the old one?

I used to be a Hammond Dealer, and the question has been asked many times; why don't they build a C3 with a tone wheel generator like they used to? The answer is that it would cost too much!

I heard a rumor a year ago that they may come out with the original B3 again with MIDI, and call it the B3 Classic. It would have to retail @ $50,000
