Discussion on the flu shot on the "mandatory flu vaccine" thread has got me to wanting to take a poll! You can choose more than one answer.

I got the flu shot, and am now suffering from a horrible cold! (I'd rather have the flu than a constantly running nose, plugged up ears -which will take a month or more to unplug, and sore throat!)

Can't you also have a running nose, plugged up ears and a sore throat with the flu? Just add a nasty fever, chills and aches

I always heard neck up......it's a cold.
Neck down, the flu.
My hubby and I have not had the flu shot
and do not plan on getting one.
Thankfully, no flu.

When you were a kid LOTS of people died from the flu...
people always died from the flu. Just because you did not does not mean others didn't

We always get the flu shot because Walt's aorta is dissected the whole length of it. His health is so fragile that for him to get even a mild case of the flu could be disastrous. So we do whatever we can to avoid it at our house. Not always successfully. But we try!
On the other hand, I feel that for the government to require a shot should never be acceptable. The government has their hands in too much already. Now they want to tell you if you should or should not get a flu shot? Please! what will be next???
