Fruitcake
Is there anyone here who likes fruitcake besides me?
Do you have any good recipes to share?
Thanks!

Re: Fruitcake
You could start with Martha Stewart. Would you use brandy in a recipe?
I don't like to bite into bread that has mushy fruit in it. Just can't stand banana bread either. lol

Re: Fruitcake
I get Saveur magazine - love it. The best cooking magazine on the market, IMO. I would try this recipe. It doesn't appear to be sticky and icky like most fruitcakes I've seen.

Re: Fruitcake
My favorite website for recipes is this one: http://www.thepioneerwoman.com
The blog author is a hoot. I laugh every time I read her posts, and she is an amazing cook with several books out. She is a mom of 4, homeschools, and loves to cook. I have made many of her recipes, and they are all amazing. Check it out

I love her, too.

Re: Fruitcake
Thanks for the links PO and KBTW!
Myself, the stickier the fruitcake the better!
I've never used liquor in making anything, probably
won't start now!

This blog contains the History of the "Christmas" cake, as well as a recipe which looks really good.
