Request For My Tea Party Friends

To all of my Tea Party friends;

When you successfully nominate Tea Party candidates to run as Republicans please make sure they have enough sense to avoid making controversial comments on abortion that will sink their campaign.

The Republicans lost at least 2 Senate seats yesterday due to idiot Tea Party Candidates. I don't mean idiots in the sense that they are stupid or unqualified but idiots in that they did not realize that the media was setting traps for them.

1. Aiken was running against McCaskill, an incredibly unpopular Senator in her own state and should have won by a landslide. Instead in a debate he talked about "legitimate rape" as if there is rape that is not legitimate and that the body has a natural protection that helps prevent pregnancy in rape cases.

Even if you believe those things you are an idiot to bring them up during a campaign.

2. The Tea Party ousted longtime Republican Senator Richard Luger in the Republican primary because he wasn't conservative enough for them. So now after the Tea Party Candidate Richard Mourdock stated that a pregnancy after rape was "something God intended to happen" he went down in flames. Lost a Senate seat that the Republicans held for DECADES.

Let me say just one last time; IDIOTS!!!!

(the only Tea Party victory I see in this election is Ted Cruz, the new Senator from Texas, and a Republican was going to win that anyway since the Dems have not won a statewide office in Texas since around 1996 if memory serves me correct.)

They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

But let's be honest on what really happened.

Liberal media paid to discredit Tea Party and Republicans. The media made these big issues while ignoring the dem lack of a real agenda.

Ignoring the remaining questions about Benghazi has been shameful. CBS releasing their full interview w Obama days before the election when they had that information for weeks was journalistic malpractice.

Amen!

I'm reminded of Germany how the media promoted Hitlers message and then found themselves censored and without a job,

Same thing can happen here and may well be on its way.

Esther, the media advocating for liberals is an entirely different conversation. In these instances the Republican candidates were idiots to say what they said. The media did not make them say what they said they just made sure it was given a lot of press.

True that, but CC remember when Biden said Obama was clean and articulate? And when he said you have to have an Indian accent to work at 7/11? The media shrugged it off. When George Allen called the Indian Democrat plant "macaca" it sunk his campaign. Biden becomes the VP!!!!! People can say that things are equal in the media b/c of Fox, talk radio and the Internet, but the reality is that the mainstream media is still the primary source most Americans get their info. And they continually give Dems and liberals a pass when they say something damaging, and they overplay it again, and again, and again when a Republican says something until it has the desired effect.

With that in mind, conservatives need to be ready to guard every word they say...

Right and if the Rep did what BO in Benghazi they would still be asking what do you plan do to? We now look like a weak country that will not protect there own.

BO should not have been reelectedmon that alone. IMO

That's my point. The media made a hay day out of something that was not necessary. True they said it and may even be right in what they said but now the media has made it clear anything you say that doesnt pass the muster if the media they will crucify you.

God gives life so if a pregnancy follows rape God gave the life, He didn't sanction how it came about.

That is another can I don't want to open right now,

Tea Party types need better organization. They need to get some people who can help them prep for the gotcha questions. Those answers were appalling. They gave the liberal media red meat tom play overband over again. The national party needs to coordinate better with those guys.

Ultimately the GOP needs to devise a strategy to bring Hispanics into the fold. The Dems cannot win without a patchwork of coalitions: blacks, Latinos, single women, gays, union blue collar workers, 18-25 year olds. If any segment of that coalition can be wooed from the Democrat tent, their power base crumbles. Latinos in my mind would be the easiest to pursuaded to vote GOP out of that group.

All it would take would be change the hardcore stance on illegal immigration. I don't like illegal immigration, but we will be fighting an uphill battle if we can't find a compromise that sends the message to Latinos that they are important to the GOP.

Sir,
I wouldn't think of you as one to espouse a racializing of our politics.

Conservatism has its own merits.

To encourage the GOP to focus on Latinos appears to put the emphasis on their race and not the policies that would inherently help all Americans of all races in the end.
