Hunting Exploit

Shot my first turkey yesterday!
Sure scared some folks in the frozen food section of Krogers,
but I got him with just one shot.

It was awesome!

Gettin' old can some times be fun........

HA! Did you really get a wild turkey? I hear they are
notoriously hard to hunt. Almost won out over
the eagle for our National symbol.

Re: Hunting Exploit

I would like to shoot turkeys everyday. (Ok, so that is not nice to say, but some of them...try my patience. )

You condemn yourself when you take this in.
Why would one not assume that replies to their
posts will be read with the same eyes they have,
and instead assume that all other readers
are on the replier's side?

Wishing to shoot them is shooting them-
-you have already lain with her in your heart, Jay.

It's not that turkeys are hard to shoot but rather very unpredictable. We have quite a bit of land back in Wisconsin and we can drive by a certain spot and see flocks of them day after day. Finally, you can sit down in your blind ready for them to move out of the woods -and they are nowhere to be seen! It isn't that they are that incredibly willy or smart, they just seem to be very lucky!

I've heard similar stories--with no gun in sight,
you can get close enough to pet them,
the story goes, lol.
