Re: Newt to Suspend Campaign on May 1!
I already posted this information. And why reboot? I'm not supporting Romney - ever. I might vote for him in the fall. Depends on how many more lies he tells between now and then.
If he apologizes to Newt for his dishonest, lying character assassination and/or pays off his debt, I might be inclined to vote for him.
Newt knew it was a long shot and so did I, but I supported him because I believed and still believe him to be the best candidate.
I certainly wasn't going to go for a candidate just because I thought he could win. If I did that, I would have voted for Obama last time around.
And I certainly wasn't going to go for a candidate that the Elitist crowd endorsed. I mean, it's like, "Here's your sign." LOL!
But, go for it. Status quo is working in America. We can't tell much difference between the parties anymore.

Newt understand it is all politics, PO, why can't you. I understand that you are disappointed. So am I, I had hope the our governor, Rick Perry would run away with this thing, did not. I also, considered both Newt and Rick S, but in the big picture Mitt is the very best candidate among these guys at this time. And I believe he is a good choice for the GOP, and the country.

Maybe Romney could get Newt to help him with his apology since Newt is incredibly creative at them. His explanation about his last two adulterous affairs was creative and amusing to me. I saw him in an interview say that we should ignore all that ugly business now because now he is a grandfather and switched from being a Baptist to a Roman Catholic. Can't get any more creative than that!

I suppose as a Christian we are taught not to look back and dwell on past failures. If in his life now he sees himself as repentant and settled as a grandfather, father, husband and happy in the Catholic Church, then why keep digging up that old bone and chewing on it? When does Gingrich get to move on? If he came to your church, would you allow him to move on?

PO, this is not a guy asking me to overlook his serial adultery while he is my dentist, grocer, or fellow church member. He was asking me to elect him to the Presidency of the United States. If out of 330 million people we can't find anybody morally better than this we are worse off than I thought.

CC1, I'm tired. It's been a long, grueling campaign. I don't want to think any more. I'm taking a break. Take care!

As disgusting as this is, the likes of Clinton and Kennedy have made baggage such as this an irrelevant point. America looks at them as a couple of the best presidents we have had, despite thier charactor flaws.

Yes, but I probably wouldn't allow him to teach on the virtues of marriage.

I just wanted to post this. A friend of mine was asked to attend a Republican Women's candidate forum last night in California. She said she didn't know what to expect - "they are all good conservative women for the most part.
Speakers running for our Senate spoke. They spoke of voter apathy that we must get out the vote. THEN the last speaker running for State Assembly spoke and said, 'Well I am a friend of Mitt Romney, I worked for Mitt Romney,' blah blah blah and no one applauded, no one said one word. From those I spoke to I got the feeling that none were very happy. This surprised me coming from a gung ho GOP group. I think there are going to be problems come Nov. if this is any indication."
