Spirit - love, joy, peace, meekness, kindness, patience, etc...

Soul - 3 parts

- Intellect - knowledge

- Ego - self conscious

- Carnal mind - lust, envy, pride, anger, etc...

Body - 5 senses


If God is Spirit, is that just pure, positive emotion? Is the logos what corresponds to our soul, the intellect and self conscience? What part of God did the voice from heaven come from? Was it the logos?

Without - defined as not accompanied by or having the use of. I suppose that pretty much sums it up the predicament we men would find ourselves in, huh?

Without a companion to listen to our many foibles; complaints against just about every thing imaginable; and a unimaginable host of other things too numerous to mention...

Without a housekeeper to keep us well fed with healthy food; clean clothing; well-behaved children; and another list which time nor space permits me to enumerate at this sitting...

Without an astute money management advisor....

Without a warm body to snuggle up against on a cold winter night....

Ah, yes, we men would truly be without many things (and much, much more than I've noted here) if it should ever be that we find ourselves without a woman; an help meet! I, for one, am so thankful that God realized that and provided me with one.... she is worth more than all that I could ever imagine, and I love her so very much!

Well for one we would not have The Christ, can anyone fathom how God could have come to redeem the world in a physical body without a woman?

As for a wife, the proverbs state "he that findeth a wife findeth a good thing"
It should be noted the word for "good" here in the Hebrew is the same word used in the creation, "and God saw that it was good".

Something else can be derived from this verse, while there are females everywhere to find a woman (wife) means that one is special. I too thank God for the wife of my youth, I found her when I wa 18, married 34 years now, she has been my lover, confedent, the one that I fought with, raised 4 children with, and I could go on but suffice it to say God could not have picked a better woman for me.

Amen! I have heard way too many talk about how bad their wives are, and it is nice to hear someone that can rise and call her blessed.
