The Interesting Chicago Connection to Cain Accuser
Ann Coulter has written a powerful column about the Chicago political machine and it's history of accusing potential rivals of sexual harassment. I think she's hitting the nail on the head. I hope this becomes a story although the MSM boys and girls won't bite. How interesting that Cain's accuser used to live in the same building as David Axelrod! How interesting that the only accusations of Cain's alleged sexual misconduct come from the 3 years Cain served as CEO of the NRA, and the former head of the Illinois Restaurant Association was Richard Daley's chief of staff atvone time. She had access to Cain's records at the NRA. A lot of reasonable questions should arise from these facts Ms Coulter provides.

Very interesting....
I still blame Romney until proven otherwise.

Did all four of the accusers live in the same building as David Axelrod? ...Cain agreed to a lie detector test and that would clear him, but there is some reason that one was paid off and hushed up.

Seascapes, did you actually read the article? Ann brings up some legitimate questions.
Here's one comment that stands out:
"...And strangely enough, Cain's short, three-year tenure at the NRA is evidently the only period in his decades-long career during which he's alleged to have been a sexual predator."
Bialek in particular, who has the most obvious connection to David Axelrod, should be under the microscope because her accusation doesn't really fit with the others. The other three allege mostly verbal interaction while hers includes touching and an attempt to force her head down to his lap. Also important is the fact that unlike the other three women, Bialek did NOT file a complaint when this incident occurred. She has no proof, she has no witnesses, she didn't file a complaint at the time, she didn't talk to anyone, Cain doesn't even remember having ever met her (while he acknowledged knowing the other women), and yet the media is willing to accept her story as is? It's he said/she said, and her accusation has no more credibility than his denial.
And then there's the question of her character, which was brought up by people who know her--NOT by Cain's people:
"Within 24 hours of Bialek's press conference, friends and acquaintances of hers stepped forward to say that she's a "gold-digger," that she was constantly in financial trouble -- having filed for personal bankruptcy twice -- and, of course, that she had lived in Axelrod's apartment building at 505 North Lake Shore Drive, where, she admits, she knew the man The New York Times calls Obama's "hired muscle."
This is the most important statement from Cain:
"Herman Cain continued to defend himself..., arguing at CNBC's Republican presidential debate that the American people "deserve better than someone getting tried in court of public opinion based on unfounded accusations."
Truth aside, it's interesting how the press treats conservative candidates. I wonder how many allegations of sexual misconduct could be leveled at John F. Kennedy, were he to run now.
And then there's Clinton....
P.S. What mother in her right mind would discuss a sexual harassment charge with her 13 year old son and get his "advice?" That sounds like something she threw in to make it sound more credible and instead it makes her sound like a crazy loon.

Re: The Interesting Chicago Connection to Cain Acc
Seascapes, it's not unusual for companies to settle out of court for a much smaller sum than to pay huge amounts of legal fees fighting an almost unprovable claim (unless there is physical evidence or eyewitnesses).
The fact that Axelrod has a history of destroying pitical enemies with sexual misconduct stories, the fact the woman lived in his apartment complex, the fact the only other woman who makes the claim works in the Obama administration and has been known to complain about being uncomfortable w men for more innocent acts (Cain simply said she was as tall as his wife), still leaves the LION'S SHARE of proof on the shoulders of the accusers. But Axelrod and others know that if you destroy someone's image in the court of public opinion that's all you need.
The hypocrisy of the media stinks to high heaven too. When you compare how they gave Clinton a pass when he simply said he didn't have sex with Gennifer Flowers and Hillary said she was standing by her man, the issue was dropped. Years later under oath Clinton testified he did have sex with her. Cain denies the charges and he still has to prove his innocence.

Re: The Interesting Chicago Connection to Cain Acc
This past year, we paid someone 10k to shut up and go away.
There was no evidence to her claims and we would have loved to have gone to court, but it is too expensive.
By the way, she quit on her own, then made the complaint.
And we still paid her.
