Re: Hello AFF World
Welcome. Can you tell us a little bit about you? Are you UPC, ALJC, PAW, AMF, GIB, etc? How did you find AFF?

Titus2woman on AFF
"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
Quote from Ethel Goss (widow of 1st UPC Gen Supt. Howard Goss) book "The Winds of God"

Re: Hello AFF World
Intersting. Sapulpa, OK? Got family (wife's aunts/uncles/cousins) in Bixby and Glenpool, and one cousin works for the Creek County Sheriff's Office on the upper end of the chain of command. We went there back in March and he took me on a tour of the courthouse and the old jail (pretty cool and creepy), as well as the newer facility. Drove through Oakhurst also. THAT was interesting, too. We also took our kids to the new playground in downtown Sapulpa -- very nice!
Anyway, welcome to the forum!

Re: Hello AFF World
Hi Noah,
Long time no see.
I've been on this forum for a long time. All these folks have pretty much watched and seen my journey. Many of them are friends. I suspect you recognize me.
How's Jeanie and the kids? Your oldest must be, what, 10 or so now?
Welcome to the forum.
