General Conference 2011
Hello All,
I'm wondering if anyone can tell me if there is a bulletin board somewhere on the internet where people who are planning to attend this year's General Conference can talk.
Thanks,
Howard

I'm sure there might be folks here on AFF who will be going. Feel free to be transparent (with everyone) and discuss away...

I won't go to General Conference unless it's in my home town of St. Louis. It's not worth the trip, and it very boring.. haha

Who will be at General Conference? I will be speaking. I would be interested in meeting you!
I'll be sure to bring my 40 Glock incase I run into LadyRev and her dirty cats!

Re: General Conference 2011
As I recall I think there is a thread that states beginning in 2012 GC will be in St. Louis every year? If so I kind of hate that because I had said I would go visit a GC for the first time since 1999 when it is held 4 hours or less from my home and I think St. Louis is about a 5 1/2 hour drive.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

UPCI General Conference this year is in Kentucky. I think the change to St Louis is going to start in '12.Then again I'm not UPCI and don't plan on attending any of the conferences (I have enough of a headache every year having to survive P.A.W.'s National Convention) so I'm not the best source to trust.
However, I do know for a fact COGIC is having their convocation in November in St Louis if you're interested in that (won't be there either).
Next year P.A.W.'s will be in New Orleans along with another Apostolic Organization that split from us 54 years ago (Pentecostal Churches of the Apostolic Faith) who will be having theres the week before and we'll be holding joint services (there's been rumblings of a possible merger, I'm not as optimistic as some of my fellow church members but hey it could happen).
