Combine this news with the reality that our debt is skyrocketing, social security and medicare are hurting, unemployment is still hovering at or above 9%, and you have the perfect storm.

I firmly believe we never came out of the "Great Recession." Artificial life support inflated the numbers to make things look a bit better, but now we are back to square one, with another 2 trillion in debt to boot.

This is our new reality. It's more than a recession or depression. It's a fundamental shift in the American way of life.

While that's an increase from the revised 0.4% growth rate in the first three months of the year, it is hardly good news. The government originally reported that the economy grew at a 1.9% annualized rate in the first quarter."

I believe that both parties created this problem. They have run this country solidly into the ground.

You may be right. My wife goes to school part time but is not looking for a job of any kind. We get by and would probably do better if she had something part-time, but we have come to the same conclusion, why bother.
