Obama: Jobs Ideas from Business & Labor Leaders
BO convened a commission to give recommendations for debt reduction. The commission met, pulled together a bold strategy for debt reduction and deficit reduction and so far BO has pretty much ignored their ideas.
Now its a jobs summit of business and labor leaders wanting ideas on how to create jobs. Let's see if he follows their ideas.
Interestingly, GE CEO Jeffrey Immelt is the jobs council chairman. You know the GE that once owned the majority share of NBC---the mothership of MSNBC.
Also, the missing element in this council? No one representing small businesses which generate 2/3 of all jobs in America. Corporations, unions and economists constitute the councils participants. Looks more like an effort to gain political points.
