Microchip

I had my kitten microchipped yesterday. I have some mixed feelings about it. How about any of you? Had any pets microchipped? Would you do it?

Those of you who wrote "No and I never will" please expound upon your position. Is it just that you don't want to propel what is probably going to happen with people in the future or do you think it is just plain wrong to microchip period?

can you explain your mixed feelings?

I would definitely do it........if it was free and I had a dog worth $. I wouldn't do it for a mutt. Our cat never goes outside.

My mixed feelings are based on my belief that microchipping may have something to do with the mark of the beast in the future. I don't think having my cat microchipped *is* the makr of the beast....just that it is a bit outside my comfort zone to be any part of 'that system'.

I don't think any harm would come to my pet for doing so. I certainly don't believe that "chipping" my pet will cause them to miss out on an eternity they had waiting in heaven.

I am simply opposed to this society that finds it more and more acceptable to be tracked every moment of every day and I would never do the chip thing just because of my opposition to this monitored society we live in

That is why I have mixed feelings. I said yes and then wondered if I should retract etc. The reason I did it is because of a cat we lost before. Anyway, I thought I would try it and see how I feel about it in time.

Yes ma'am... I understand that...

But I wouldn't sweat over it too much.

(Hoping your not offended by the next phrase) It's just a cat.

LOL! I'm not sweating over it. Yes, it is just a cat. Now, I do shudder about putting one into special needs kids.
