Their loss is Globals gain (maybe)

There are dozens of us that I know of. Young church planters and pastors who are independent and not really attached to anything after getting pushed/squeezed/shunned out.

There is a friend in South West FL who is running over 200 with 2 daughter works and a soon to be spanish work less than 2 years into it.

Theres another friend in the midwest and another fellow who I know in AZ who is going gangbusters.

Seriously, theres alot of low hanging fruit to be harvested if someone would just pick up the telephone and give a good pitch as to how they could add value to these young ministers lives. All the groups ever show is what they want, not what they offer.

The only thing I see that is remotely what I could/would join is Global Network. There is a TON of pent up demand for a alternative that respects the fact that standards and secondary teachings should be left to the local church.

I have looked closely at Global as well. I liked numbers of things about it, but it would seem that there is pressure to conform to a group mindset as well. Just in alternative ways.

I was in it for many years. Involved with the inception of the Network in the year following the AS exodus. In most of the conferences I attended the speakers were most always trinitarians. No Acts 2:38, One God preaching ever.
If you're alright with the Assemblies of God you well fit well with Global. Some Assemblies of God are listed in their directory.

Some of us believe the Body of Christ includes those who have differing concepts of "the Godhead."

P.S. I am not in Global

As a member of global for 7 years, I have felt no pressure to conform to any kind of group mindset. Scott Jones is doing a great job of bringing in more fellowship activities as well. I really haven't experienced anything close to your conform to a group mindset comment.

I have seen so many lies posted. The best one is the one Triumphant 1 did his best to combat. You know, the hair cutting party thing?

Prominent members of this board chose to believe the lie and even continue to spread it, even though T1 had totally proved it was false.

I would have to agree with what you are saying from what we have experienced with Global. I have enjoyed the fellowship I have experienced, made some great friends so far.

I can understand that there are areas where people feel that diversity is good. I do. And I am glad that you have found somewhere that you are comfortable. But MANY in the UPC say very similar things.

Also when you comment --

Quote: Frankly speaking, I am not excited about Global being overrun by a bunch of liberal yet judgeing Oneness Pentecostal ministers who get all worked up over baptismal formulas and salvation necessity of Spirit baptism. I left the best Oneness Denomination going to get away from that mentality." -- you more than validate concerns that Oneness Apostolic's have over those in Global.

And this is a good thing to many others.

They are still in the same paradigm. Global is not for them. They wouldn't enjoy the fellowship.

"They" may or may not be in the same"paradigm". There are many former UPCI ministers and saints (sorry for the distinction) who have deep, heart felt conviction over things like Jesus Name baptism, the Oneness of God, etc., but do not conform to the traditional "standards". They, basically, are between a rock and a hard place when it comes to fellowship.
