RICHMOND, Va. — Nearly 150 years after Robert E. Lee and Ulysses S. Grant fought in northern Virginia, a conflict over the battlefield is taking shape in a courtroom.
The dispute involves whether a Walmart should be built near the Civil War site, and the case pits preservationists and some residents of a rural northern Virginia town against the world's largest retailer and local officials who approved the Walmart Supercenter.
Every Pentecostal should have the right and freedom to go to Walmart after church Sunday night.
The liberal elite is bringing in tyranny and taking freedoms.
More and more communities are fighting and winning against Walmart coming to town.
When walmart comes to town it calls for the death of many family owned mom & pop businesses that have been a dedicated part of the community for decades.
If one ever tries to come here (which they won't... we're way to small... 1200 people) I'd fight them tooth & nail.
Not here...as far as I know nobody went to a small expensive mom and pop store to buy their jeans, toothpaste or steaks...they went to larger clothing stores, Kmart, Target or the large grocery stores.

Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
Every sinner must repent of their sins.
That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Are there mom & pop stores operating? (or... if walmart has come to town... WERE THERE mom & pop stores?
Because if they are (or...post walmart... were) then it is clear that people were going there.
They aren't "expensive" generally. They are what prices used to be before there was a store powerful enough to drive our jobs to China all by themselves. New Lower Prices... at Walmart... thanks to near slave labor in china and we support it every time we buy there.
A small mom & pop doesn't have the buying power that a walmart does and they are trying to compete like everyone else is. They just have to start with a totally different pricing system.
The employees from Walmart would drive through a town they were about to see about opening a new Walmart in and make guesses at how long that mom & pop would last... and how long this one would last.
If Sam Walton were alive I think he'd join me in trying to keep walmart out of my town.

Jobs to China. I was told last month were Walmart is entering markets with over 100 stores this year.
Walmart is booming in groceries. None of the grocery section comes from China. The China argument is getting smaller. A friend of mine after Christmas is in economic development in his community. It will cost 40 million to build roads, highways and drainage to build a new walmart. On one hand, the community will spend more than Walmart, but it will create a lot of business before it opens.
Walmart put the fabric stores out of business and then they discontinued carrying fabric.
I only shop Walmart if that is the only place I can get what I need.

I too hate shopping at Wal-mart.
However, they have not joined the pro-homosexual lobby as much as Target has.
Maybe I just hate shopping.
Except for Publix!
Great customer service and the employees actually say hi and ask if they can help you find anything!
The Commonwealth of Virginia gets involved in whether or not a Walmart can be located "near" a Civil War battle site?
Yet, the State of New York refuses to get involved in whether or not radical Muslims funded by sources linked to terrorists can build a "mosque" on the very site where bodies were recovered on 9/11.
When walmart came to SE CT round 18 years ago they wiped out two instate dept store chains --> Caldor and Ames. They held a monopoly in the area up until Target entered the fray a couple of years ago.
Not just walmart though, the coming of Staples killed a local stationary store with two locations, Home Depot killed a local hardware store. Borders killed two local owned bookstores and so on.
And you really can't blame people for not sticking to community brand loyalty. If I can buy Gizmo A at wally's for $3.00 and the same Gizmo A is $5.00 from local businessman.... sorry dude, i need that extra two bucks these days.
