Radical comments.

Just to show that the comments come from both sides of the aisle.

“A Republican majority in Congress would mean “hand-to-hand combat” on Capitol Hill for the next two years, threatening policies Democrats have enacted to stabilize the economy,” — Obama, October 6, 2010

“If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun,”— Obama in July 2008

“I want you to argue with them and get in their face!”— Barack Obama, September 2008

“We’re gonna punish our enemies and we’re gonna reward our friends who stand with us on issues that are important to us.”— Obama to Latinos, October 2010

“I don’t want to quell anger. I think people are right to be angry! I’m angry!” Obama on ACORN Mobs, March 2010 “We talk to these folks… so I know whose *** to kick.“ — Obama on the private sector, June 2010

“If they bring a knife to the fight, we bring a gun,” - President Barack Obama”

“Argue with neighbors, Get in their face!,” - President Barack Obama”

“If you get hit, we will punch back twice as hard,” - President Barack Obama”

“I don’t want to quell anger. I think people are right to be angry.” - President Barack Obama”

“Punish your enemies”- President Barack Obama”

“We talk to these folks… so I know whose *** to kick.“ - President Barack Obama”

“I’m itching for a fight.” - President Barack Obama”

“Hand-to-hand combat” - President Barack Obama”

Re: Radical comments.

Inflammatory? Not in the least! Really!

When such statements are made from a 'left' leaning individual or group it is simply giving notice that they strongly disagree with folks who hold to differing points of view: Allow the government to assume more power and authority to control the lives of its citizens and everything will turn out just fine, trust me!

However, when such statements are uttered by anyone who leans more to the 'right', it is taken as a public declaration that they advocate the killing of all who oppose them: Take away their weapons and silence them, and then we can allow some 'regulated' free speech.

Allowing these radical expressions of opposing points of view just create distrust in the government, discontent among the people and even promote violence (expressed hate), and must therefore be suppressed for the good of all of the people.

Shades of 1776.

In case I left anyone wondering - yes, I am a right wing conservative and my comments were 'tongue in cheek'.

Re: Radical comments.

Over the last 20 years, there has been more violence towards other people coming from the right-winged extremists than the left.

Still, my fellow Republicans won't admit it and they won't admit that the nasty rhetoric some people on the right spew have any effect on the likes of Loughner and other angry white people.

Yep, I bring race into this because race has a part in this discussion.

There were jokes a few years back about the "angry white male".

People weren't laughing after Oklohoma City.

They're not laughing after Tuscon.

JD - it depends on your definition of "right" and "left".
Facists are actually left-wingers and Anarchists are right-wingers. according to the classical political definition.
I would also say that those on the left spew as much venom as those on the right.
Some people are very tolerant, except of those who they perceive as intolerant.

If you are right, the venom spewed by the left is not of the type that encourages people to prepare for the "coming armageddon".

It's the word choice of some of the talking heads on the right that encourages violence. The left and the right spew vomit on their airwaves, but over the last 20 years, the right-winged extemists are the one who have taken up arms and occasionally have used violence against innocent people to make their points. It is my point that some Republican talking heads are partially responsible because of their langauge.

Many elected Republican officlals and their talking heads do not want civilized discourse. Anything less than their way 100% is compromise and compromise is unacceptable to the nutjobs that eat their vitriol for every meal.

It was a sign of a bad moon rising when that elected official yelled out while the President was still speaking, "LIAR!" Of course that guy was never dealt with publicly, in a way that let America know that decent Republicans find that kind of disrespect for any elected official not respectable and not proper.

The GOP's silence on that was just as silent as many American Muslims when it comes to the words and actions of Muslim extremists.

That kind of unprofessionalism should be left to the "Code Pink" whackos, not Congressmen.

If your elected oficials feel justified to be that nasty publicly towards someone that does not think like him, if that is the standard for proper discourse, then it stands to say that your fringe followers will be much more uncivilized in their words and actions when dealing with others who do not think like them.

prove it! This is an example of what I mean...there is no "STOP" please against leftist hate rants. It's always "the right"

It's not "Let's all stop" , it's always "the right does it more wah wah wah"

All the authorities and the guys that knew this creep are saying politics had NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING to do with it. But nevertheless the political opportunists will milk this for all the lies they can squeeze out of it and finger point at the right...what I want to know is, you leftists that cry "It's both the left and the right": why don't you quote Davidson here and correct him? Because it fits perfectly into your mindset, that's why. Because although you say "It's both the right and the left, let's stop the finger pointing" you only say that when the finger is pointed at liberals and not at conservatives
