Christianity is the correct religion
There are a lot of religions in this world. When you are talking to someone who is not a Christian, how do you persuade them that Christianity is the 'correct' religion? The true religion?

I argue that with christianity you can have a personal experience with God, "as the scripture hath said". ie receiving the baptism of the holy ghost as described in scripture is the proof that christianity is true. At least in my eyes.

I have to say that I know Christianity is true because of a personal experience with the God of the Bible.

I don't try to convince anyone My personal experiences with demons convince me that they're true too.... At the time they appeared very much as good entities and you could never have convinced me that they were not good.
Love.... The love of God is bigger than any of that. I don't try to convince anyone, I just love them. And tell them God loves them.
That's what messed up my world, rocked it, turned it upside down, and continues to do so.

I prefer the tried and true Roman method of forcing it on them

Let it be understood that Apostolic Friends Forum is an Apostolic Forum.
Apostolic is defined on AFF as:
- There is One God. This one God reveals Himself distinctly as Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
- The Son is God himself in a human form or "God manifested in the flesh" (1Tim 3:16)
- Every sinner must repent of their sins.
- That Jesus name baptism is the only biblical mode of water baptism.
- That the Holy Ghost is for today and is received by faith with the initial evidence of speaking in tongues.
- The saint will go on to strive to live a holy life, pleasing to God.

Heard a story of a missionary to Africa who for a price would baptize them and if they wanted to go heaven right away he would hit them on the head with heavy metal encased bible.

Grandfather would get them in his barber chair and start preaching to them.THEY PAID REAL GOOD ATTENTION WHEN HE WOULD GET OUT HIS RAZOR AND START STROPPING IT ON THE LEATHER STROP,AND BEGAN TO SHAVE THEM.

God himself must draw them when its all said and done. Jesus said "no man can come to me unless the Father draws him". Yes he uses us but he is the one that convinces them.
