Texans Strike Back at Austin over Arizona Boycott

Go, Odessa!!!

BOYCOTT AUSTIN, TEXAS NOW!
Fellow Texans/Americans,
I call upon you, to take a look at what has happened, right here, in the great state of Texas. The voice of the few, in Austin, Texas, have taken matters into their own hands, by slandering the Arizona Legislation, against Illegal Immigration and voting unanimously of a boycott of Arizona. The exact words of federal law are written in the Arizona Legislation! How dare they ignore the voices and wishes of Texans!

Go Burleson County!!!!
Quote:
"You discriminate against the great people of Arizona and against federal law being enforced by the great state of Arizona, through their own state law! Prepare to have the favor of a boycott returned against Austin," Burleson Tea Party Chairman Angela Cox said.

Re: Texans strike back at Austin over boycott
I LOVE this!
"I received your message; please receive mine. As a statewide elected member of the Arizona Corporation Commission overseeing Arizona's electric and water utilities, I too am keenly aware of the 'resources and ties' we share with the city of Los Angeles," Pierce wrote.
"I am confident that Arizona's utilities would be happy to take those electrons off your hands," Pierce wrote. "If, however, you find that the City Council lacks the strength of its convictions to turn off the lights in Los Angeles and boycott Arizona power, please reconsider the wisdom of attempting to harm Arizona's economy."

I do like it! Gov. Brewer said, today, that she wouldn't support something like that, but it does make a point. LOL!

‘Day Without Mexicans’ planned
As a protest against Arizona’s controversial immigration law, the chambers of commerce from Nuevo Laredo to Matamoros have agreed to set May 25 as a “Day Without Mexicans” on the South Texas border.

I think there is a lot involved and, yes, a lot of politics involved. I don't understand how the business owners think they are fairing better by the cheaper labor when we are losing, big time, by the freebies we hand out, i.e., education expenses, healthcare, etc.
But another danger is coming up against the Drug Cartels and not having adequate protection. I was reading this blog and this guy has it right, it is a danger and are we ready?
This is what Gov. Perry is weighing out for us among other things. And, yes, I think some of his posturing is political also, but he does listen to the people.

Re: Texans strike back at Austin over boycott
With summer coming on, a lot of folks might shy away from the Arizona desert, but there are lots of things to do in the mornings and evenings and then you can nap by a pool during the heat of the day.
Or, go "underground!" Kartchner Caverns is a newer state park with some pretty cool cave formations: http://www.arizonaguide.com/travel-d...-and-breakfast
Also, at 8500 feet the North Rim of the Grand Canyon stays cool and you have convenient access to other National Parks like Bryce Canyon just across the state line in Utah. Make sure that you spend the night in an AZ inn or hotel though. Those receipts will all be added up and reported after the end of the year.
