The young man dreamed a dream and in the dream he found himself standing at the Pearly Gate, watching as the Lord determined who could and who could not enter into Heaven. Suddenly the Lord ask the young man if he would help Him for a few minutes, relieving Him at the gate.
"Just stand here and as each person arrives at the Pearly Gate determine which ones can and which ones cannot enter into Heaven," the Lord said.
Looking up, the young man sees his mom and immediately welcomes her to Heaven. Then there's his dad and there's no question in his mind about him. Next is his brothers and sisters and he lets them in without any question. Other close friends and relatives arrive and each are welcomed by the young man, with open arms as Heaven's door is opened wide. A close friend who went to church with him on earth was ushered in without any doubt.
Then suddenly there is an individual that the young man doesn't really know that well, one that he really knows nothing about. Quickly a decision must be made...an eternal decision! How can I do this, he thought? How can I know this person's heart? What if I get it wrong? Without hesitation he calls for the Lord to please come back.
The Lord walks up to him and the young man exclaims, "Lord, Lord, please help me! I can't do this! I don't know this person's heart! I don't know enough about this individual to make that kind of decision. Please, please, help me. I don't want to be wrong. I can't do this!"
In response the Lord replied, "You're right, my son, you can't do this. And neither can you do it back on earth."
Why do we go to such extremes to judge one another? How is it that we are so critical of each other, especially those with whom we disagree? What if God left it up to you and me to decide who would, in fact, be allowed to enter into Heaven? Who would you and I exclude? Would you let your feelings and your emotions decide the eternal destiny of someone else?
God is our Judge; not me and you!
Seems like I remember a scripture about judging!! ...... Am I not right about that?

Were you, perhaps, wondering, as I was, what, exactly, happened next?
Well........
Were you surprised I made it there?
