Whose missing and why?

Can you tell me which tribe is missing and why?

I was surprised to find this out.

Num 13:1 And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying,
:2 Send thou men, that they may search the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel: of every tribe of their fathers shall ye send a man, every one a ruler among them.
:3 And Moses by the commandment of the LORD sent them from the wilderness of Paran: all those men were heads of the children of Israel.
:4 And these were their names: of the tribe of Reuben, Shammua the son of Zaccur.
:5 Of the tribe of Simeon, Shaphat the son of Hori.
:6 Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh.
:7 Of the tribe of Issachar, Igal the son of Joseph.
:8 Of the tribe of Ephraim, Oshea the son of Nun.
:9 Of the tribe of Benjamin, Palti the son of Raphu.
:10 Of the tribe of Zebulun, Gaddiel the son of Sodi.
:11 Of the tribe of Joseph, namely, of the tribe of Manasseh, Gaddi the son of Susi.
:12 Of the tribe of Dan, Ammiel the son of Gemalli.
:13 Of the tribe of Asher, Sethur the son of Michael.
:14 Of the tribe of Naphtali, Nahbi the son of Vophsi.
:15 Of the tribe of Gad, Geuel the son of Machi.
:16 These are the names of the men which Moses sent to spy out the land. And Moses called Oshea the son of Nun Jehoshua.

Easy. The tribe of Levi. There was no point in them conquering and holding land since they were not allotted to own any. It wouldn't make any sense for them to stake out the land ahead of time.

That makes sense since Levi had no inheritance but the Lord. The other tribs all had land allocations.

And that is the real meat of this, "why Levi is missing." It is hard for us to fathom that the tribe could actually "inherit" the Lord! The Lord became a possession to be passed from one generation to the next. In our tradtional way of thinking "we belong to the Lord" and that is true, but he also "belongs" to us. He is our "FELLOW" kinsmen!

Levi, as to why as a guess it is because of their service af the tabernacle and the preisthood.

I don't know that though.

Right.

They were not a warring tribe.

When I read ALL the tribes I was surprised to see that the tribe of Levi was not included.

I heard Bro. Larry Smith say that the tribe of Dan was missing in Rev. because Dan was
destroyed at Calvary. He was the serpent tribe. The devil was destroyed at Calvary. I
am not explaining it as well as he did, but that's the essence.

I have heard that Dan's tribe is missing in Rev because of some disobedience. I would have to research further.

Didn't he go on to say that Dan was replaced by Manasseh (Manasses) which means to forget?
