2nd US Civil War
With the current President quickly moving the US away from democracy, freedom and capitalism and moving towards socialism ...
Do you believe the US will have another civil war?
If so, would you fight and which side would you be on?

1) Not a right-wing wacko
2) I'm posing a question someone at work asked me
But thanks for giving an example of why not to assume things...

Ain't it grand that you live in a country where you are free to be that. Problem is, once you people get your way it will be illegal to be anything but.
Funny in a psychotic sort of way. you folks bent on destroying the system that allows you to be.
Glad I'll be good and dead when your dream comes true.

I seriously doubt you support socialism, you may think you do.
So let us see if you do.
1. Do you give your money to others that have none until you are on their level?
2. Do you enjoy the right to express your opinions? I would say yes, and that right would be taken from you.
3. Do you own land? That right would be removed as well.
If you seriously support socialism, I suggest you move to a communist country and be happy and leave us alone.

there is nothing wrong with taxing the rich to support the poor. It is called a progressive tax system which is what we have.
Do you support: social security, medicare, medicaid, unemployment benefits, police, firefighters, public schools, public transportation and postal workers? Hello, socialism is already here. the only thing is we haven't introduced it into our market economy, which could be done by nationalizing the oil industry and paying down our debt. I am not a communist but I support all of the above programs. I don't have to move. There is nowhere in the world where socialism isn't already a part of the political system.

York's top court ruled Tuesday that the state can use eminent domain to force homeowners and businesses to sell their properties for a massive development in Brooklyn that includes a new arena for the New Jersey Nets. …AP 11/24/09
The government now appears poised to wield greater control over private property on a number of fronts. The battle over private property rights has intensified since 2005, when the Supreme Court ruled in the Kelo v. City of New London case that the government could take property from one group of private landowners and give it to another.
This bill is described by opponents as a sweeping overhaul of the Clean Water Act that could threaten both physical land and jobs by wiping out some farmers entirely.
"Right now, the law says that the Environmental Protection Agency is in charge of all navigable water," said Sen. John Barrasso, R-Wyo., chairman of the Senate Western Caucus and an opponent of the bill. FOXNEWS.COM
The City of Lakewood, Ohio was trying to use eminent domain to force Jim and Joanne Saleet out of their house in order to make way for expensive condominiums. (AP)
And it's not just business properties that they're going this on. You know, they wiped out eight people's homes over here. Your home ain't even safe,” says Bailey, who told 60 Minutes that his neighbors let the city buy them out.
But he’s refusing to sell: “I’m standing in their way. I’m their thorn in their side.” And he’s a thorn in the side of Ken Lenhart, who owns the Ace Hardware Store a few blocks away. Lenhart wants a much bigger store. He could have negotiated with Bailey, but instead, he convinced the City of Mesa to try to buy Bailey's land through eminent domain and then sell it to him.
--60 Minutes
And this isn't happening just in small towns. In New York City, just a few blocks from Times Square, New York State has forced a man to sell a corner that his family owned for more than 100 years. And what's going up instead? A courthouse? A school? Nope. The new headquarters of The New York Times.
The world's most prestigious newspaper wants to build a new home on that block, but Stratford Wallace and the block's other property owners didn't want to sell. Wallace told 60 Minutes that the newspaper never tried to negotiate with him. Instead, The Times teamed up with a major real estate developer, and together they convinced New York State to use eminent domain to force Wallace out. How? By declaring the block blighted.--60 Minutes

These examples are not examples of socialism in America, they are examples of courts siding with big business against the little man, capitalism.
