News from 2009 general conference

Just checking to see if there was any big news from the 2009 General Conference, other than DKB becoming the new UPCI GS.

if you used to be a licensed minister, and you lost your license because you "dabbled" in adultery? step right up ladies and gentlemen ! you can now be" restored" on a local basis at least !

And I think that is a good idea.
Isn't the story of Jesus and the cross and grace all about restoration?

restoration and forgiveness yes, but not ti the extent of ever minstering again, the trust has been irreparably broken imo , i would not sit and listen to a minister who had done that. i would be gone. sorry!

Did you ever read any of the Psalms that David wrote after his little fling (adultery and murder)? Do you think God abandoned him after that and never used him again?

Do you read the Psalms and get a blessing from it or read Paul's writings and receive something from them? My Bible refers to restoring your brother. Wonder how many times they were restored? Oh, and don't forget good old Peter!

I think I would rather stand befor God in judgement rather than some of my AFF friends.

Oletime, are you sure that resolution passed. My understanding is that it was either referred to committee or tabled.

It did not pass. It was referred to an existing committee.
