Somebody remind me I will wander down there and take a look and give you a report. What is the schedule do you know?

Re: Islam on the march in DC - Perspectives

I tried to open the "program" on their site but could not get it to open.
Thought they had it available yesterday.
That's strange! Can't even get the www. snopes.com link to open. I
posted it yesterday from snopes.

Jumah has to start on or after mid-day prayer time which is 1 pm. It has to be over by evening prayer at 4:30 pm. So - between 1 and 4.

Be nice over there baron! It's just a group of people meeting to pray. LOL

and, according to my understanding, they have as much right to assemble and pray as Christians. I just wonder if our President might greet and encourage them when he might not do that for a Christian group. (just wondering, not criticizing)

From a political standpoint it would probably be expedient for the president to let this pass with little to no comment.

Re: Islam on the march in DC - Perspectives

The bright side is that I dont need stitches, for once. LOL remember it takes years of kindness to be taken for granted so you are safe yet.

I do not believe that they are doing anything but scheduling the Friday service and Friday prayer in a public assembly area. Sort of like when they scheduled assembly centers etc in the major cities around the country earlier this week for the first morning of eid, the end of Ramadan. I don't know what was worse for BHO - Rev Wright (there's a real winner) or his stepfather's ties to Islam back in Indonesia but I doubt if there is anything political there for him to capitalize on and I seriously doubt if he will even acknowledge or mention it.

Pressing-On what you say is true in that all of the beliefs are parallel and based on the same fundamental principles going back to Abraham but Jesus is highly regarded as a Messenger sent from God whose words are included in the law of God but that the law still must be followed to obtain salvation. Sort of a very strict "works-based" belief.

Regards

Be nice?

I don't know how to fly planes or set roadside bombs.
I am only going to observe, maybe snap a few pictures with my phone.
