One leader of the Tea Parties Mark Williams

got exposed on AC360 the other night. Someone sent me this link this morning.

He starts out trying to paint the picture that he's part of "mainstream America" and just the principled opposition to the President. Then Cooper calls him on the fact that he called Obama "an Indonesian muslim and a welfare thug" and he called him a "racist in chief". This is some funny TV here.

Is this the type of people who make up the Tea Party crowds?

Well, it's hard to pick sides against Anderson Cooper. He is just so cute!!!!!

Look, James Carville is fun to watch, and more intelligent than your average liberal, but he really didn't make any good points. Neither did Cooper for that matter. Do you really think this is some sort of well-done expose`?

What type of people? People who dislike Obama? Who think he's racist? Who think he has roots in Indonesia and the Muslim religion? Who think he's a thug? I have no problem with any of those characterizations.

What's funny is that you think that video was hard hitting journalism.

MissBrat I like your posts and you usually bring a lot of common sense and good points into the discussion, but you seriously think it's a mainstream view to call the President a "Indonesian Muslim, a welfare thug, and a racist in chief". You really believe that's mainstream belief in this country?

David Frum has this one right. That is "paranoid fantasy" at best.

I think after Jimmy Carter and Henry Johnson, we can pretty well say whatever nit-witted thing we want - right? LOL!

I don't believe that the majority of the criticism BO's receiving is racially based. I believe that the majority is principled opposition and people who just hold different beliefs and their criticism is based solely on the issues.

I also know that there is a certain element of this crazy talk that is motivated, at differnet levels, by racial motives. When you call the President a "racist in chief" that's a racial comment.

There are hundreds of reported incidents and threats against the President based on his race. We can't totally dismiss the racial undertones that some of the protestors are showing.

Hey I'll give you those two PO. Both of them are wrong in their views, IMO.

What shocks me is the things that keep coming from the leaders of this Tea Party thing. It also greatly shocks me that people like this Williams clown spout this kind of trash and try to associate themselves and the Tea Parties with anything mainstream.

I gave you two people and you gave me one, Mike. LOL!

Anyway, the point is, as you well know, when passions arise the media is going to pick up the most sensational of them all - it sells news and gets our attention.

See? It got yours! LOL!

You want to talk about the tea party leaders and the examples I gave are leaders of the COUNTRY!

I can't believe you are shocked by this. There is extreme rhetoric on all sides. Let's face it some don't like the President, ( and not just this one ) that is nothing new. And just like anywhere, you have some that cannot discuss things without name calling, and rudeness. Like a bunch of kids.
