GNCM Conference @ Christ Church Nashville
The Global conference is going to be held Sept. 14-16 in Nashville. Any AFF'ers going? I will be there. Jack Hayford will be one of the speakers. Looking forward to a great time in the Lord!
I guess I'll finally get to experience the new CC worship firsthand! It's been a number of years since I have been there.

Re: GNCM Conference @ Christ Church Nashville
What is the "new" CC worship? I also am looking forward to hearing Jack Hayford. I have heard him in person before and was very blessed.
In addition to the GNCM meeting I am excited about Christ Church and Pastor Hardwick celebrating 60 years of ministry!

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.
"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.
"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

Re: GNCM Conference @ Christ Church Nashville
We are planning to be there, if everything goes well with my dad between now and then. We haven't been to anything Global for a few years, but there are some speakers we want to hear. We don't belong to the Global group anymore, but we're going anyway. It will be good to hang out with friends again too!

Re: GNCM Conference @ Christ Church Nashville
I have tried in earnest to get more info on this group, to no avail unfortunately. I like the fact that they hold to the new birth, while not cramming all the traditional Holiness standards stuff down peoples throats.
Thought about joining, but I just am uncomfortable since I don't know anyone involved there, especially the leadership. At any rate.....

What do you mean by this? As far as I know they have no consistent viewpoint on "the new birth", and consist of every kind of belief from Trinitarianism and baptism in the titles to ????

If you mean Christ Church in Nashville, you'll have a hard time finding a more kindly and gracious servant/leader than Bro. Hardwick.

Bro Hardwick is, as you say, a gracious man of God. I think Lemon was referring to Global though.

Thanks. I can be a little thick sometimes. Global is interesting. I respect a couple of the names in the group. That they're even doing something so broad based is interesting. I have no judgments or conclusions, just wish them all the very best.
