My grandma passed away this afternoon.....

Several here may remember praying for her beginning in November after the accident at the nursing home, then again in December when the doctors said there was no hope--and to prepare ourselves for the worst.

God allowed us to have her with us for a few more months, and today--she has gone on to be with him.

Even though we knew her health was declining, it doesn't make the loss any easier.

We would appreciate prayer for those of us who are left here and grieving the loss.

Re: My grandma passed away this afternoon.....

Oh Tina, I'm so sorry for you. I wish I could hug you in real person. I know it's so painful to lose someone you've loved so much and for so long.

Sadly, nothing that anyone can say will make the hurt go away right now. But God can comfort your heart and give you peace. I will be praying for you now and in the days ahead.

Imagine tho - what joy and peace your Grandma is experiencing now. WOW!!

May God's peace surround you and your family in this time of loss for your living loved ones but great gain for your Grandma.

I agree with Jermyn. You and your family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."
