Reasons I like TV

I'm am making a solid attempt to limit the amount of time I spend in front of the TV. I realize that it can be a serious time thief. But when I do watch there are certain things I enjoy.

T.D. Jakes on TBN along with some of the musical guests.

On Mon nites on local access there is a program of Christian artist videos

As far as regular programming I like The King of Queens, Heroes, and Everybody loves Ramon. When it comes to the sitcoms I'm not a faithful watcher. There are times that on the 2 comedy shows they cover adult topics so we don't watch during prime time but after the kids are in bed.

I do regularly watch news programming. I like O'reilly, Hannity, Tucker Carlson, Imus etc.

Another regular is the weather channel. It helps us know how to dress the kids for the day.

Even though I'm a horrible fan I do watch sports center from time to time to keep up to date on current standings. And according to a high ranking official at a recent Youth gathering its obviously OK now to support our local teams. GO CARDINALS!!!!!

We have a digital cable package that has about 20 channels of music in various genres. No moving pictures just music. Ever cleaned house jammin to some bangin choir music? There is also a contemporary christian channel. And yes every once in a while I check out the others......jazz, disney, and salsa.

Probably my favorite 2 channels are History and National Geographic. History is constantly showing in depth biblical topics that are very interesting. Has anyone seen Discovery Channels new show on the earth? The most fasinating nature show that has ever been made. Never before seen or rarely seen footage. These guys are amazing. Very educational.

Of course I can't forget the Food Network

And lastly I like to watch TV Land. Andy Griffith, Sanford and Son, Jeffersons, Mash. All oldies all the time.

Now having bored you with all that I have to say I cannot find anytime to watch porn.

What was his aunt's name? You know, the obviously "holiness" woman with a "bad" spirit?

I think it was Esther... but I am not sure!

35 Dangers of Television

It provides great temptation to sin

It robs children of their innocence

It desensitizes

It mesmerizes and feeds the subconscious

It corrupts our values

It creates perceived needs

It creates godless heroes

It makes the viewer partners to sin

It gives instruction on bad behavior

It promotes godless problem solving

It creates a false view of reality

It fuels the imagination with negative images

It teaches a "no consequence" lifestyle

It breeds unreal fear

It promotes mistrust and cynicism

It feeds self-centeredness and self-indulgence

It breeds intolerance of deprivation and moderation

It destroys the attention span

It creates learning disabilities

It creates an appetite for entertainment

It destroys creativity

It hinders the reasoning process

It creates artificially induced stress

It promotes violent behavior

It breaks down interpersonal communication

It desensationalizes miracles

It feeds the desire for supernatural and occult power

It can be habit-forming

It is addictive in nature

It is damaging to our physical health

It offers escape from reality and responsibility

It is a waste of time
