Bro. Steve Epley...the countdown begins....

He's to be here preaching for us Wednesday night. We are so excited about having him.

I have never heard him preach, but I have been told that this gentleman is an awesome man of God and can preach the word.

I will keep you posted on how things go...like I'm sure you all wonder...anyways...looking forward to it.

Make sure you feed him good! What kind of homemade dessert are you making him?

(Be sure and take a snack to church also for yourself. You won't need it the first 2 hours he preaches but you might that last hour to keep your energy level up)

"We did not wear uniforms. The lady workers dressed in the current fashions of the day, ...silks...satins...jewels or whatever they happened to possess. They were very smartly turned out, so that they made an impressive appearance on the streets where a large part of our work was conducted in the early years.

"It was not until long after, when former Holiness preachers had become part of us, that strict plainness of dress began to be taught.

"Although Entire Sanctification was preached at the beginning of the Movement, it was from a Wesleyan viewpoint, and had in it very little of the later Holiness Movement characteristics. Nothing was ever said about apparel, for everyone was so taken up with the Lord that mode of dress seemingly never occurred to any of us."

He is not known for his lengthy preaching. I don't think I have ever heard him preach long and I have heard him preach many times...but it has always be really good

I that has to do with being short. He has less lung capacity and therefore he gets tired more quickly.
