One God Revelation Question

1 Timothy 3:16...states that the angels saw God

John 4:24....lets us know that God is a Spirit

Is it possible that the first time the angels ever "looked upon God" was also through the face of Jesus Christ thus the revelation of the Mighty God in Christ was both directed to heaven and humanity?

Jesus Christ is the image of the invisible God.

That is understood...I would hope.

I just wonder how the angels must have felt to behold the ONE whom they had heard and served...

Re: One God Revelation Question

Friends the first thing the Angels ever saw WAS the image of the invisible God.

They have always seen him. They are his Sons.

6: Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. Job 1:6

2 Kings 18:18-22

18: Again he said, Therefore hear the word of the LORD; I saw the LORD sitting upon his throne, and all the host of heaven standing on his right hand and on his left.
19: And the LORD said, Who shall entice Ahab king of Israel, that he may go up and fall at Ramoth-gilead? And one spake saying after this manner, and another saying after that manner.
20: Then there came out a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will entice him. And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith?
21: And he said, I will go out, and be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And the LORD said, Thou shalt entice him, and thou shalt also prevail: go out, and do even so.
22: Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil against thee.

They knew him as the LORD OF HOSTS.

2: The LORD hath also a controversy with Judah, and will punish Jacob according to his ways; according to his doings will he recompense him.
3: He took his brother by the heel in the womb, and by his strength he had power with God:
4: Yea, he had power over the angel, and prevailed: he wept, and made supplication unto him: he found him in Bethel, and there he spake with us;
5: Even the LORD God of hosts; the LORD is his memorial.
