I have seen a number of post lately, can't remember what thread it was on so I am starting a thread so I can find it.
Some say they do not believe in the light doctrine.
As I understand the light doctrine to be you are saved according to how much light/understanding you have of the scriptures.
My question is this for those who do not believe in the light doctrine how do you know you have all the answers already?
What if there are things you think you know but you missed?

Esther, have you always believed the light doctrine, or is this a recent revelation?

I guess it is a new "term" for me. I have never heard the term prior to AFF.
As a child I believed the UPC had all the answers and anything my pastor said was gospel. Didn't even have to show me scripture for it.
But then I grew up and has others of another faith ask me for scriptures I didn't know to prove "we" were right.
I think as young people we always thought we knew all the answers. It is when you get older you realize there is so much more you don't know.
So do you think the UPC has already arrive with ALL the light? Do we have all the truth?
I believe there is a scripture that says to know to do good and not do it is sin. (paraphrased)
So if we KNOW Acts 2:38 then I believe we should obey it. IF someone doesn't know it, all I can say is I'm not the judge.
But this I do know. IF you have a LOVE for the TRUTH I believe God will lead you to all His truths. JMO

Who said anything about the UPC?
My goodness...
Sis, all I can say is that on FCF you didn't believe this.
This forum business appears to have eroded your faith like I have seen it do to so many in the past few years.

The light doctrine is a doctrine from the pits of hell. It flies in the face of truth.
How so?
