**News Flash**: S. Jones takes over helm of Global

In bittersweet news, Scott Jones, co-lead pastor at Grace Church of Humble is now the interim Chairman for Global.

Bishop Dehart's health has been deteriorating. Apparenty, so much so, that he cannot continue his duties as chairman.

I hope we can continue to pray for this great man of God and his family.

I think this move has the potential for Global to move towards a more progressive and greater impact for the Gospel of Jesus Christ ... and possibly within the Apostolic movement.

Brother Jones is a great man of the Most High, also ... and we pray for God's wisdom and favor in his life and this endeavor.

Letter from GNCM's Interim Chairman

Welcome to the GNCM website!
As Interim Chairman, it is my joy to serve the members of this incredible network. Bishop Jack DeHart’s leadership over the past three years was strong and inspiring. We honor him for what he has done and pray for him in this time of sickness.

At the meeting in which I assumed this responsibility I asked the board members present whether they wanted me to maintain status quo until next year’s conference or “go for it” and give 2009 my all. Brother L.H. Hardwick proposed and the board unanimously said, “Go for it.” So with the help of our board of directors we’re going to attempt to make 2009 a landmark year for Global.

Here are some numbers you need to be aware of: GNCM currently has a membership list of 490 members in the US and Canada. We just launched GNCM–Asia, and have added 200 members in Korea! This ministers’ fellowship that you are a part of is no small thing. Therefore, we must give it no small effort. Let me encourage you to mark your calendar for our annual International Conference on September 14-16, 2009. The conference will take place at Christ Church in Nashville, Tennessee and we are working now on a great speaker line up. I also encourage you to watch your email and postal mail for announcements about a Connectivity event coming to your region in the spring. This event is for members and spouses to come and connect with others, rest and relax, and experience roundtable discussions about church growth, GNCM and the minister’s home life. You will not want to miss this.
In closing, I want to share with you the new contact information for GNCM. This is your network. Whatever you’re looking for in the way of ministry skills, encouragement or help in growing a ministry can be found within Global. You are not an interruption to our business; you are the reason for it!

Scott Jones

I don't know who they are, but will pray for them Daniel.

Letter from Secretary/Treasurer

Rev. James R. Bond
To the Brothers & Sisters of Global Network of Christian Ministries:

It is with incredible anticipation with which I write this letter! I believe that GNCM is about to enter into a new dimension of its existence – one that is definitive in its direction and broadening in its scope.

With heartfelt thanks for a job well done and with deep admiration for his leadership these past three years, the GNCM Board of Directors received the resignation of our precious brother, Bishop Jack Dehart this afternoon. Bishop Dehart has faithfully executed his term in office and has set the tone for further advancement by this body of ministers. Although challenged with his health, Bishop Dehart gave his all during his tenure as Chairman. During the past few months, he had asked Scott Jones, one of our Vice-Chairmen, and myself, as Secretary/Treasurer, to step in and help with the burden of his office. Because our Annual Conference was cancelled due to the damage Houston sustained during the recent hurricane, we were not able to replace Bishop Dehart until the Board Meetings called for today in Dallas. Bishop Dehart’s recommendation of continuing with Scott Jones as an Interim Chairman until the 2009 Annual Conference, assisted by the Executive Committee, was received and unanimously approved of by the Board of Directors.

Scott Jones comes to us with a long history of administrative and pastoral experience. One of the Co-Pastors of Grace Church of Humble, Texas, a thriving multi-cultural, multi-campus, mega-church of over 3,000, for the past 14 years. He has held a number of previous administrative positions with various ministerial groups, and has served on the Global Board of Directors since 2005. He will lead us forward as a relevant, 21st-century ministers’ fellowship and bringing greater clarity to who we are, what we do and what we value. It is his intent to help provide mentoring relationships with pastors and ministers for guidance, encouragement, and fellowship, and through those relationships, help churches and missions organizations grow. Utilizing current technology, Pastor Scott wishes to offer webinars, conference calls, electronic-communiqués, training, etc., providing a resource rich environment for ministers, their families and ministries to be successful. You will hear more from our Interim Chairman in the next few weeks about the new direction of Global.

Names for the office of the Chairman will be presented during our 2009 Annual Conference, September 14-16, at Christ Church in Nashville, Tennessee. We hope to see you there! We are anticipating wonderful things for GNCM’s future.

In His Service,
Rev. James R. Bond

Re: **News Flash**: S. Jones takes over helm of Gl

I was a member of Global until last year when I let my membership lapse. I still get stuff in the mail about national stuff and I get a new card every year even though I don't pay dues. I get zero stuff from the district and they don't return phone calls. I left messages that I wanted to fellowship and wanted to know where the next event would be held and heard back nothing. I've not at all been impressed with Global out here in Cali. I hear it's better in other places though.

I've tried to contact him several times. Talked to him once, he said he was going to call me back and never did. I gave up.

Perhaps he is just not good with follow-up, he hasn't called us either! But they are nice enough folks, I think you would like him if you met him in person.

I just think they need a secretary to handle all the "leg" work-like calling and sending flyers out, keeping to a calendar. JMO

I called another oneness denom one time and asked for info and a schedule-the pastor who is over the district of Ca was really nice and promised to send something--but never did. I just think people get busy and forget.

You're very sweet and very kind. I'm not so much so. Maybe that's why he didn't call me back! hahaha.

I actually had called him about his false prophetess friend and he said he was going to check on something w/her and never called me back. I called later about fellowship and never heard anything. They had something scheduled for Visalia and then canceled it last I heard. I stopped paying attention after that.

Sorry, in my view, if you are the boss of an association you should have the organizational ability to at least call people back. My sponsor w/drew from them too from what I heard due to his complete and utter frustration with their good ol' boy approach. Most of the guys around here are on their way out and would rather golf and talk about the good ol' days than do something productive. In my opinion, humble that it is.

I've heard some of this from a handful of others ... I think they have some great people involved in the network including some posters here ... that either are member ministers or members of Global churches ....

Maybe Scott and others can turn this around?
