Baptists and Methodists: "Cover me, I'm going in!"

As I mentioned some time ago in a different thread, I've been given a unique ministry opportunity. A friend of mine from West Virginia gave a Baptist Pastor two CD's of mine from a MINISTERS CONFERENCE. The significance of it being a ministers conference is that the Word I preached as, well.... scalding as it was to preachers. I stressed the importance of doctrinal emphasis, separation and avoiding the tendancy of 'tired' preachers to move away from strong biblical stances.

At first I scolded this Pastor friend in that I felt it was too strong for a Baptist Pastor whom he's befriended. To our amazement the Baptist Pastor made copies for all his elder... and they made over 100 more copies and gave them out to their Church families!

Long story short... I've been asked to come there to preach a revival in a Pentecostal Church (they like that 'Pentecostal worship stuff') for over 300 Baptists! They are, by their own admission' open to 'greater revelations' of baptism and the Godhead! The simply said, "We need that kind of power in our services whatever it takes." The hand of God is in all this in that I'll have Pentecostal worship, a Pentecostal core that responds to Pentecostal truth... and a lot of hungry souls!

Amazing!

What is even more amazing is that they have now spread this hunger into a huge Methodist Church and over 1/2 of their congregation is supposed to be at this revival as well!

I'm leaving tomorrow morning and will be preaching Tuesday through Friday nights. I would appreciate the prayers of those who still cherish truth.

Not sure what to expect... not sure exactly which messages I'll preach yet... all I know is that my soul get stirred when anybody gets hungry for a greater revelation of truth.

I'm weary in that I preached all week last week away from home as well. On one night alone we counted at least 10 get the Holy Ghost, 3 of whom had been seeking it for "near 20 years". Saw some incredible healings as well.

Blessings on all... and pray for us!

We will surely be praying for you! How exciting! I believe in the last days we're going to see more and more of this.

How ironic......denominal people are wanting more of God (Pentecostal experience) and some of our Apostolic preachers are falling by the wayside, and preaching 'another' way. How sad....

Steadfast, congratulations on such an opportunity!

You know, maybe there is something you can learn from them too!

Thanks to all of you! Going to enter it with much prayer and fasting. In fact, my entire ministry team is going to have every minute of the next four days covered in prayer and fasting.

I, also, believe that we're going to see more of this kind of thing happening. It's 'harvest time' and I'm convinced that the scripture tells us the harvest changes everything!

Just a few days ago I watched tumors shrink and vanish on a woman given just weeks to live. GOD is good... all the time.

TB... Not sure what you are trying to say but I can assure you that I'm going to reach for them with truth in a way that isn't quite as offensive as your post would imply.

Thanks for the inspiration, though!
