Let's see ... there's also an article on the website entitled "Soy Is Making Kids Gay."

I put that website about on a level with those newspapers at the checkout stand in the grocery store with the headlines: "Paris Hilton Makes Love To A Three-Headed Martian."

So ... I trust that answers your question about what I "think about it."

They do have some wild stories but sometimes their crazy stories end up being true and end up in the mainstream media months later

The only legitimate news sources about an Obama National Holiday are about Kenya, not the US.

Why? why would it be a big surprise for some groups or organizations to have another holiday for a historic figure????

I wouldn't mind another holiday - in fact, I think election day should be a day off from work for all americans

How did you go from anything else in this thread, especially anything I said, to making election day a national holiday/day off?

And where did I say it'd be a surprise? I fully expect that we will have a national holiday for/about Obama. I fully support the idea as well. Regardless of what I think of the man (and I'll so very leave that out of this discussion...lol), the United States elected a black man to the most visible and important office in the nation. I do think that's something to be celebrated and observed, the same as MLK Jr Day. It's part of our history.

(1) It would not be a surprise and I think it is fitting, but I am not sure this should be pursued while he is in office.

(2) Early voting takes addresses the legitimate need to accommodate Americans who need to work on "Election Day."
