Ethical? What Would You Do?

Say someone gave you permission to use their email/computer to send an email and left the room. While there you see an interesting email and read it.

That email eludes to the person being involved in an extramarital affair. You read another that confirms it without a doubt.

The reader is the daughter.

Should she have read the emails?

Should she approach her mother?

What would you do?

Maybe Mom wanted to get caught....why would she leave the email around?

Speaking as a mother with a sharp mind...I would never let my daughter or any family member use my e-mail address if I had anything to hide. With that said, what daughter thinks she knows...she really doesn't know. Everyone has a right to their privacy, even mothers.

Privacy is violated, yet it might be to the saving of a marriage or the stopping of the spread of a disease to the father. Either way the Dad has a right to know after discovery.

You are assuming something to be true because of an e-mail?

Rhoni, agree. My husband can log into my e-mail anytime and likewise, as well as the forum I'm on. We have nothing to hide. I respect my children privacy do not have access to their.

The only thing I hide from my wife are all the "receipt emails" from newegg.com and other places I buy computer stuff from..........

The daughter should not have read the e-mails.
Since she did read the e-mails - she should give her mother the benefit of the doubt and pray for her. Many times things are not exactly as they seem.

What would I do? Nothing except pray and let it go. It is between the parents and the children could get caught in the crossfire.

Blessings, Rhoni

What's wrong with honesty?

This is strictly MHO okay, but couldn't the daughter just say, mom I accidentally read this email and just wanted you to know.
