Food & Fun Friday Night in Mineola
Well folks just want to tell y'all about Friday night entertainment in Mineola. My husband called on his way home from work to tell me he wants to go and eat BBQ when he gets to town.
He and I and a couple of our kids and their families/date go to have great BBQ at the Split Rail BBQ joint. Sliced beef, sausage, chicken, & chopped beef sandwiches. Potato salad, cole slaw, fried okra, okra gumbo, pinto beans, baked beans, turnip greens, corn on the cob, and a baked potato. We all ate very well and even had some leftovers to bring home.
On the way home my husband decides he needs to go to the Tractor Supply Company. My husband goes in and 20 minutes later comes out with a bag of dog food and a tool to work on his tractor.
There you have it folks: food & fun Friday night in the big town of Mineola.

Yum!!!! That BBQ sure sounds good. I will be back in Texas next month and will have some good stuff.
If I have an evening flight out of Austin my ritual is to eat a sliced brisket and sausage platter at the Salt Lick location at the airport. Their sides are not good but the BBQ itself sure is.

I almost tried the ribs, but they are so messy. I just opted for the sausage/chicken combo plate. Delicious! And I forgot to add the iced tea was great.

   Now you know I can't get any of that good BBQ here shame on you.

LOL Here I sit waiting on your brother to come in from a tour and my tummy is talking to me. rumble..growl. ha ha
I guess I'll have to fix some leftover ribeye to make do. I can make very good ice tea though tonight I think I'l make a cup of hot tea, it's 52* here ow and windy and raining.  need some sunshine.
