Please Pray For My Parents, And Yours.
The pleasures of this world are for but a season, and Satan has presented humanity a dirt clod painted gold. My parents are both in lukewarm state, and rarely attend church.
My mother at times goes out and has a recreational drink. I spoke to her today and told her to attend church, instead she chose a sports bar.
I became irate with her a few minutes ago and told her she might kill herself, and she needs to recommit her life to God.
After I hung up with her I received a call within 20 minutes, my mother while on medications, she had consumed two alcoholic beverages. She just crashed a few minutes ago and struck 5 vehicles. Her car was totaled, her seat belt didn't even work, and her face was bloody.
It is a pure miracle of God that she's alive. They arrested her and transported her to the hospital. Today my mother is 54 years of age, and this is her first run-in with any law enforcement agency.
I ask that you pray for Veronica, that she gives her life back to God, and also my father, Ralph.
I know that I'm not well liked here, and if this petition is much for some of you, pray for your parents.
Close your eyes and envision your parents in Hell, if that doesn't give you a burden, my friend, nothing will.
I'm hoping they just cite her a release her instead of going through the booking process.
God Bless.

Re: Please Pray For My Parents, And Yours.
I petitioned God and they cited her only, they didn't complete the process of booking in county jail, etc. Legal DUI is .08% BAC, she was under that percentage.
Some have said she should have been dead, God spared her life.

I want to go about this as carefully as a can. I have a parent who has struggled with addiction. I made threats, screamed Bible scriptures, and talked about Hell plenty. One thing I learned is that especially when one is dealing with a person who has an addiction (but pretty much anyone else too) condemnation is never in order. We must love one another especially our parents with the Love of Christ. That is how they are won. I have heard it said that scaring the "HELL" out of someone will only last a short time, while Loving the "Jesus" on them will last for eternity.
I have a question, if she asked youto leave church and come pick her up at the bar, would you have done it?
Praise God that she is alive!

She isn't addicted, but when she visits those sport bars, she has a drink or two.
........and to answer your question, yes, within a heart beat.
She still attends a church I was once a member of, and left for personal reasons. When she goes, I just might have to visit with her, since I'll be her ride.

Your answers make me smile (not that YOU are obligated to make me smile!) I know that it can be so frustrating to have to "be" the parent some times, but God works all things in his order.
I am glad to hear that she isn't addicted, cause that can be very messy! But it keeps one on their knees!

I left God once at a young age. God sent many people to plead my return and I would just blow them off.
I ended up with acute renal failure and hospitalized for 6 days. My kidneys were failing quick, and they were going to perform surgery to start dialysis. I still remember two ladies visiting me that I didn't know. I still remember one lady weeping as I wept. While she was weeping she stared into my eyes and said "God loves you." It was in that little room I rededicate my life to God, and on the fourth day 3 doctors came to my room and said they didn't know what happen. My kidneys were healed and they didn't understand how.
I still remember the day I was discharged. They brought me a sweater with wording that said "made for a mission." The critic would say that's coincidence, I called is divine confirmation.
The belly of a whale for me was a hospital room.
Now I can wholeheartedly say........had I not been afflicted...........

Re: Please Pray For My Parents, And Yours.
Bro we do not agree on other things but the one thing I can say we do agree on is in prayer for your mother! I am praying and I am so thankful God sparred her life! I have a mother in law who is an addict... a very bad one so I understand. May I Ask that you pray for my MIL and I pray for your mom
Be blessed! God is in control!
