Re: R the baptisms on the "Bam!!..thread acceptabl

Some may be acceptable as adaquate baptism, but if I had any say in the matter I would not allow that hocus pocus junk which accompanies some of those baptisms.

So acceptable to who and for what purpose?

Re: R the baptisms on the "Bam!!..thread acceptabl

I would like to say they may be valid to God but not so much to man... There appears to be much foolishness that has potential to appall and offend.

but outside obedience in the act, I am not sure why they need to acceptable to God. The primary reason for baptism is to proclaim to men that you have accepted the work of Jesus on the cross, and are identifying with Him in death/burial and rising to walk in newness of life. God hears the personal cry of repentance - even if it is silent, but baptism is a public declaration to all.

If people are getting baptised to be healed... to get saved or to find Jesus... to try to leave sin in the water...

It may be "acceptable" but misguided nevertheless.

It is a mockery to all which is Holy. The absurdity of it causes one to wonder if they are not all devil possessed.

I don't think these are acceptable either, but God will be the judge.

If I could somehow urge these folks personally to get baptized again, I would.

This is sad.

I have to agree with Steve here. After watching the videos of this guy and different ones they way they act is more like demon possession than like a move of God. I stated elsewhere that I was in a mental hospital once, and again, not as a patient, but that is they way those people acted. They made crazy noises, shook, looked fearful, etc, etc....
There is something seriously not right with these people.
Call me crazy but when I have heard people around the world speak in tongues and there is something familar about it when you hear it no matter what the native language is. This stuff they were saying is strange. Someone mentioned strange fire being offered. The men in the Bible that offered strange fire died because of it.

Re: R the baptisms on the "Bam!!..thread acceptabl

The only way I would see these as anything approaching 'acceptable" would be if they were little kids (lets say 8-9 or under) and playing "lets baptize each other" in the pool.

(With lifeguard present.)

Re: R the baptisms on the "Bam!!..thread acceptabl

Acceptable to me? NO!

Acceptable to God? Probably!

God knows and understands the hearts of each of those being baptized, and knows they were being obedient in being baptized to show their commitment to him.

God will be the judge, not me!

Would I attend a church that baptized like that? Absolutely not!!!
