Please read....hair

I just wanted to say if in any way I have offended you by my thoughts about hair it has not been my purpose.
Those hair threads bring out the best and the worst in most of us...

Pain, stess, tension, grief and even NOT seeing eye to eye are a part of life. We may disagree but I do want to be your friend and stand in need of your prayers.

Sister Alvear I often wish I had your graciousness when posting. And y'all are in my prayers.

Sis Alvear you are precious.
I haven't read all the hair post as I just have to step away from them.

Re: Please read....hair

Something deep inside me yearns to draw closer to the master...sometimes little remarks people make often cause us to want to answer in the same tone...few of us (myself included) can post without making some things personal...

I want to strive to post always in the right spirit because I could be wrong on anything...so if I am wrong I want mercy from the other camp...

I feel some issues or even doctrines we can differ on and still be friends...some things scare me however I do want to be nice even to those that I feel are deeply sincere but wrong...

If we are merciful to others they will be merciful to us...I want to have my heart baptized by mercy...

This is my desire also Sis Alvear.
As I was reading your post here this old hymn came to mind.

At Calvary

Years I spent in vanity and pride
Caring not my Lord was crucified
Knowing not it was for me he died

At Calvary

By God's word at last my sin I learned
Then I trembled at the law I'd spurned
Til my guilty soul imploring turned

To Calvary

Mercy there was great and grace was free
Pardon there was multiplied to me
There my burdened soul found liberty

At Calvary

Re: Please read....hair

Sister Alvear,

I rarely, if ever, read threads whose subject matter is hair. I know where most conservative Apostolic people stand on the subject. And I know what I believe about it. And I honestly don't see any benefit in either side arguing their point. It's not likely that anyone's mind is going to be changed, don't you think?

I can't imagine that anything you said could have been considered offensive. There are some who say things ONLY to make their point and to make everyone think they are "right". They aren't said out of a heart of love in any way shape or form.

You, on the other hand, everything you say is said out of a heart of love.

Therein lies the difference. YOU truly care about people's hearts and souls.

Thank you Margie, for putting into words what I wanted to say.
