What Are You Doing For Your Mom Tomorrow?

Both I and my wifes parents have been dead for awhile so we will just be celebrating my wife tomorrow.

We will be going to Earl's for dinner after we go to service tomorrow.

You?

Mom is coming to our church tomorrow to see my neices in the sign drama/interpretive dance for Mother's day. We are going to PF Changs to eat. All my sisters and brother are doing their own thing. I added Mom onto my cell phone family plan so she will have a cell phone for emergencies and I pay her membership to the health club where we do water aerobics 3 times per week.

The Bible tells us to take care of the fatherless and the widows. It is my feeling that it should start at home therefore I try honoring Mom every day and not just on holidays. It makes me uncomforatble to give to missions or charities before taking care of my own family.

This is just my convictions and am not trying to push them off on others.

Blessings, Rhoni

I bought mom what she's been wanting...a chair massager thing. It heats up...the little wheels move around on the back part...it's weird but she loves it.

I also bought her the book she's been wanting by Cokie Roberts, Ladies Of Liberty, about the wives of the presidents.

I'm picking up her corsage made of roses tomorrow morning before we leave for Pontiac...my brother and SIL are taking her out for dinner after service.

Not sure what my other brothers are doing...

And today I'm cooking out, as my youngest brother and his family will be here.

Moments ago she received live flowers from Florida...they were sent by her only brother and his wife.

Eddie and I took out moms/dad/stepdad out to eat last night and then had them over for Italian Creme Cake at the house. We gave them gift cards to Macy's. We won't see them tomorrow, because Sundays are full of services here and in Cordova.

I'll call my Mother tomorrow. She just got out of ER, but is doing okay, we guess. Experiencing some abdominal pain. They don't know what is causing that.

My husband took our SIL fishing today and wanted to know if I would like to go to "ACADEMY" this evening to shop for my Mother's Day present!!!!!

Tomorrow we will all be in service together, go out to eat and come back to our house - THEN - my daughter just called and said I have to make my homemade cinnamon rolls. lol

She and I will work on scent combinations for a special candle to represent her store and the guys - Don't know what they will be doing.

I'll have wonderful thoughts of mothers days gone by. Mama has been gone 6 years the 3rd of July. The last gift I every gave her was a beautiful hanging basket with an ivy in it. It is now on my porch. I will look at it and weep.

Nothing. Nothing for my grandma either. And, not a thing for me. Well, I'm working?

WH,
I'm sorry for your loss. My father passed away about 8 years ago. I remember sitting at the kitchen table one year later and it hit me that he was gone. I burst into tears. It took that long for the shock to wear off.

God bless you tomorrow!

I understand the feeling of loss...not of mother of course, but father. It's been 5 years and I still can't go to my church on Father's Day. We go to church with my brother in Pontiac.
