Please pray for Burma

Saturday, Burma was hit with a cyclone. For those that don’t know, that is the same thing as a Hurricane.

I have a number of very close friends from Burma, one of whom is an evangelist here in the US. His dad is the General Superintendent of the Burmese UPCI.
I spoke to him a few minutes ago and things are very very bad there.

His sister (her and her husband are Apostolic ministers in Burma) lost the roof of their home.
The Assistant General Superintendent had a huge tree fall on his home.

There has been no further contact after that and we don’t know how his mom and dad are. We don’t know what the status of the rest of the family or the church is.

We do know that 1 bottle of water is selling for $90 US and one gallon of gas is selling for $1200 US!

10,000 people are dead and the death toll is rising and will be out of control due to the spread of decease as there is no drinking water.

Please pray for the Pentecostals of Burma who are truly suffering under an oppressive regime and a truly disastrous storm.

Re: Please pray for Burma

Ferd,
I just got off the phone with my Dentist who is from Burma. She has her parents here with her and said that none of her relatives have been hurt, but have lost their homes. They are preparing to send them money.

She told me that the Indian government warned the Burmese government two days before the storm hit, but the Burmese government did nothing because they wanted the people to die. That is their population control.

That is exactly what I was thinking and it was confirmed by my Dentist.

Hopefully you will hear from the Baui family, soon.

Praying here!
